^brings back memories of my Smart rolling down my driveway and crashing into a mailbox, TV box and finally a large stone.

Oh, I like the "comfy" 991.2 Carreras. Yes, they have become bonafide "GT cars". But still...

And hey, hooligans can revert to the Cayman GT4.

Ya see ? It's all good.

This the second time Ive seen a 991 targeted in a SA robbery:

Scary situation, luckily the driver was physically unharmed.

Funny thing is, even forgetting he is not familiar where the masterfully hidden but very functional cup holder is, how does anyone with half a brain mistake a squarish cubby hole for a cup holder?

Is it possible that in right hand drive this cup holder is missing (eventually if they decided not to make a new mold for the mirror image of this detail)?

^Google says, no. But even if it really was the case, you still have to be pretty dumb to confuse a squarish cubbyhole for a cup holder.

What a sad self indulging journalist this guy is! The 911 will remain long after he is gone!

Did you actually read the last paragraph? A question was posed and he answered it at the end with "I conclude that not only is the 911 still relevant, it's important too"..."long may it remain that way".

I don't think for one second he doesn't know where the cup holders are. Andrew Frankel is one of the longest serving car journalists out there, and quite respected by his peers too (although I've heard some people say he's a bit arrogant).

What has clearly happened is that he has filed his copy remotely, and the work experience guy or girl has illustrated the text with various photos, and it is THEY who have guessed where the cup holders are. Poor from the magazine, sure, but I don't think ANY of the car reviewers have anything to do with the layout of the magazine at all. That's the job of different people entirely. They may hardly even meet each other.
