Z-car [Official] Nissan 370Z

The Nissan Z-series is a model series of sports cars manufactured by Nissan since 1969. The original Z was first sold on October of 1969 in Japan as the Nissan Fairlady Z at Nissan Exhibition dealerships that previously sold the Nissan Bluebird. It was initially marketed as the Datsun 240Z for international customers. The most recent is simply known as the Nissan Z, in production since 2022.
I've always enjoyed the rivalry between the RX8 and the 350Z.... real sports cars without breaking your wallet.

As it stands now, I'll take the RX8 anyday. I just cannot get myself to like the lights... and those 3 gages look so aftermarket. How could they not integrate it better, and not make it look like fast and furious 4

The car looks very chunky, the shape of those front lights are weird, but I will probably get used to them. It should be a blast to drive though.

And why is the fuel filler cap so massive?

If you're a regular visitor to MotorTrend.com, you know we've been one of the first outlets on the Web to bring to you every last detail we've been able to get our grimy paws on so far about the highly anticipated 2009 Nissan 370Z.

We've shown you a prototype version of the car in both words and on video, and when the first photos were shown, we were there with everything we were allowed to tell you up to that point.

Now, thanks to the folks at the L.A. auto show, we can give you a few more details about the 370Z. First off is horsepower. The 2009 370Z will have an officially-rated 332 horses on tap, a few more than the Infiniti G37 coupe and sedan which share the same engine.

In addition, the new Z will have a choice of either a 7-speed automatic transmission or what Nissan is calling the world's first synchronized downshift rev matching system for the available 6-speed manual transmission. And we can also show you the first non-studio shot of the car above.

Stay tuned for our complete report on the 2009 Nissan 370Z at noon EST on Nov. 19, or until the next leak of information allows us to bring you more. And be sure to come back to MotorTrend.com for all the latest during the L.A. auto show, Nov. 19-20.
