It's nice but there is something i just dont like about it... cant put my finger on it... i think its the weak side profile... very weak... no character line or anything... its almost to organic

The VW Group's pre-press-preview-days press conference was so big that it had its own traffic jam. In an almost GM-level of bigness, VW unveiled a car from each and every one of its passenger car divisions. It was so big it was housed in a converted basketball arena. It was so big that the Chinese Minister of Science was in the house. It was so big that the company unveiled unveilings. No kidding: They lifted the sheet from cars to reveal cars covered in sheets. That's big.

Probably the biggest intro in terms of significance and sales, the new Audi A4, led off the big show. With a polite few minutes of presentation and a few choice bits of hyperbole such as "It redefines the midrange in the luxury segment and the people will respect this." Perhaps something was lost in the translation there.

Why the warm-up position for this hugely important product? Well, Audi had already released full specifications and photographs on the bigger and presumably better-handling new A4. Follow the link below to read all about it.

Expect to hear more about the A4 from the show tomorrow as Audi is expected to announce a gasoline-electric hybrid version of the car.

The front overhang is reduced to 866mm, not bad, but the C-class's is a whole 101mm shorter at 765mm

I am surprised by the size of this car. The wheelbase is very long at 2808mm compare that to the 2760 from the C-class. The overall length is 4803mm vs 4581mm, so this new A4 is pretty big.

Is this the most interesting show this year ? I mean what to hate ? the new A4 is amazing ..... the X6/1er coupe/M3 are all overwhelming .... Lamborghini is a pleasant surprize although a bit expensive ... Jaguar XF is astounishing... what a great day in the automotive history.
