Oh my.... I didn't think it was possible, but Audi has proved me wrong; they can keep making the very same car on, and on, and on, and on... last A4, A3, A6, A8, A5, Q7....new A4....all carbon copies.
It already feels like I've seen this car a million times on the road before.
I hope it's a fake, but knowing Autoweek.nl all too well, I don't think so....as said, they are known for breaking embargos. They do it all the time.

I think some people are upset that audi has a great winning formula and that if they keep making the huge leaps and bounds in sales that they are currently, their favourite marquee will soon be overtaken. Not mentioning any names or anything

Haha, you've become so predictable. I could bet a million that you would say something like this.

And IMO he is right.

Audi caught themselves in a vicious circle.

They produced the perfect design. And now they do not want to change it since any major alteration would output a less perfect design. So they are recycling the current design theme all over again. Right now the recipe is still working. But for how long?

Btw, Have you heard the latest Audi joke?

"A customer walks in an Audi showroom, and a salesman asks him if he can help anyhow. The customer says: "Yes, please. I need 4.8m of Audi."

There's a single pic of this supposed new A4 so please avoid mentioning any other brand or car in this thread! We're all waiting more pics and infos about this car. Once we get it and see everything, then you can start comparing them or making pools or such, but not now!

I stand with the guys who say that this is more like a facelift than an actual new car. Just when AUDI started making new and fresh designs (R8, A/S5) they come back with this, the rehash of an old design.

I seriously hope that this is a chopped image and not the real thing.

Btw, I never said eg. Audi make bad cars. Or bad designs. But it's true the latest designs do not fit my taste since they are not avant-garde anymore. So, now I like the Motoren Werke more since they are more avant-garde. I used to love Audi design, you know. The cars from Schreyer era.

But regardless my personal taste / opinion it's a fact Audi cars are becoming clones of each other. Everyone can see that. And that can't be denied.

And this copy/pasting is my biggest issue with Audi lately.

Otherwise: I like Audi very much. But I love Motoren Werke more.

You say the A/S5 is a fresh design. However, I think that this a4 is closer to the new a5 than the old b7 design.

Yeb, It's the 28th about 01.30 now.

But as far as I know, you could fill in the form on the A4 microsite TILL the 28th of Aug. But there was nowhere written on this microsite that they will mail the fotos on the 28th of Aug.

haha, very nice...

Now seriously speaking, i'm with you on this Audi "issue". They have found the wonder-formula design and they are reproducing it with slight modifications in all their line-up.

Those slight modifications make the cars look more aggressive or more luxury-oriented (see A8). So, i don't think that the new A4 (no matter if this pic we have is fake or not) will be a major turn of the current Audi design identity. We will see a mix of the current lines with only slight modifications, and we will end up with a little more aggressive than the current A4. Nothing really special, but definitely and small evolution...

PS. This is really getting very annoying with Audi. I really miss an entirely new design from them, apart from the R8...

Audi have really slapped me in the face with this one. I expected a four door A5 but they have given me a face lifted B7. I'm heavily disappointed, seriously.

Nano = A4
iPod = A6
iPhone = A8

One sausage different sizes.

Honestly I am a bit disappointed but not surprised by the design of the new A4. The design is a mixture of the A5 and the A6. The side profile is pure A6 and there are no new styling developments on this car. Hopefully the interior will make up for it.
