Are those bars painted ?
Are those bars painted ?
Measuring nearly 18 feet, nose-to-tail, with a passenger compartment better suited to a private jet, the big sedan is expected to begin somewhere north of $250,000, and with extensive customization, some versions are likely to nudge closer to $1 million.
Are those bars painted ?
Crazy article. One graphic says 200K and then the above says 250K to 1M. Yeah right. Figure on 200K.

You can look forward to Carmax selling used S600 Maybach in 12 months time for 100k. I don't believe this car will hold its value well given that it's not a stronger proposition over a LWB S600 decked out with options.
Coming in April 2015, the Mercedes-Maybach S600 takes the perfection of the S-Class and soars to new heights. The interior is eight inches longer than the standard S-Class, and rear passengers will especially enjoy the generous legroom. Unparalleled comfort and sophistication awaits throughout, highlighted by hand-stitched Nappa leather throughout the interior—including the headliner, pillars and entire seats—with optional seat buttons, pillows and pillow stitching on the dashboard. All in all, the Mercedes-Maybach will offer seven unique designo interior packages to choose from.
The broad spectrum of personalization options does not end there, though. In addition to a palette of 14 standard designo Manufaktur exterior paints developed using a special process, the Mercedes-Maybach S600 will feature eight additional exclusive paint colors.
Step into a world of unprecedented exclusivity and individuality—a world beyond superlatives.
I think this will be a hit, if no where else but in China.

I agree with you it was a F&cking useless crap article, the guy doesn't mention anything about the main feature change over a regular S-class its huge sumptuous rear seat legroom!! Why didnt he take a photo of the back seat of this and regular S600, he probably only sat in the front seat to run the car down?Stupid article IMO. The whole point of the car is the rear seat space, not the front cabin. They also don't know what other finishes are available, no one does yet. The car is a super S-Class, and Mercedes isn't making it out to be anything more than that. Sure you can buy used Maybach 62 and you will have a completely outdated and rather unattractive vehicle also. Dumb as a can full of rocks article.
My biggest dream list for Mercedes-Benz has just gotten one wish bigger: One day a full on, one off, exclusive Maybach model that is head and shoulders above whatever the brand new S-Class is of that era. Just to shut up clueless, so called automotive writers. That, a retro Mercedes-Benz, and another beautiful SL.
