I think MB claims like what? 8.2 seconds 0-100 km/h in the 6-speed C320 CDI, because your torque has been detuned to around 450 Nm I believe.

Where did you get the info on such a thing - it's 510 all the way. They can't just detune the tourqe becouse of the aoutomatic/manual can they ?

WOW! This new C-Class, especially the avantgarde/sport version, is fantastic! Looks as if MB will finally - and legitimately - challenge (dethrone?) the 3-Series. Hoo-ah!

Nope, the manual C320 CDI's engine torque is detuned. The C320 CDI 7Gtronic still has 510 Nm.

Here's the proof.

Red = 6-speed manual

Yellow = 7Gtronic

Well this kinda suxx so this only means that when I'll get the new one it better be 7G

But there is one slight problem - I don't trust the electronics/automatics of the car, why ? Well simply it can do stupid things at times.

I was on the regular service the other day and they had the exact same engine as mine in the CLS and the car was even the same age as mine (maybe a month or two difference) and the transmison died. Not completly but it wasn't switching gears as it should and I think that the service man said that the program when things like this happen kicked in and the driver was scared s**t out of his pants becouse didn't know what happened.

Differences between Thermatic and Thermotronic:

Thermatic:

It is "only" a two zone air conditioning system! (for the front seats)

Thermotronic:

This air conditioning system has three zones (also one for the back seats) and it slip solar radiation into his temperature calculation (in E- and S-Class it is even a four zone system)

WWAAAAAHHHH!!!

The new C is smoking hot, especially with the AMG Sports Package. Does anybody know if we can spec it with the traditional grill? I love the new grill too, but I still feel that all Merc sedans should have the star on the hood. It's a unique thing because not many car logos look good on the hood like that. The Mercedes one is timeless.

Ok one thing that is bothering more than anything except those damn LED tail lights are the mirrors. But I don't mean the size (coz they are SUV style), no I can live with that but why oh why couldn't they paint that plastic part underneath the cover of the mirror in the same way as the colour of the car. I mean that is a huge step backwards - even the W202 had everything around the mirror in the same colour of the car.

Now it look the same as on any other Mondeo, Astra/Vectra and all others alike. Do not like that at all.

I think the black part under the mirror is to create an illusion that the mirror is smaller than it actually is. It works better in the cars with lighter colors, though.

yep, they certainly are, i feel this is the best looking C-Class ever...

Overall an inceredible car. Nothing to argue over , and probably the nicest in its class/price range.
