Its well known that C63 and E63 dont have the same ride and handles better than they did in the past and that the latest M3 and M5 offer better ride than those two. Saying MB stays the same is simply not true, they need to advance as well to sell. Sometimes is just best to forget about the past ;)

I never said MB has stayed the same. MBZ is now the 'drivers' car of choice. Sorry, I'm just holding a grudge against BMW. As a former ~10+ year BMW driver, I just don't like the direction they are heading in. The C63 is still comfortable but now, almost has the chassis balance of an M3.

I don't like neither, but the optionals (the ones we have seen all over the topic) are horrible. I¡m began to think they're the ugliest lights I've ever seen

Completely agree. The standards are less horrible and disgusting. I give them the ugliest headlamps award too :)

You have to understand that both BMW and Mercedes are doing what the customers ask for. Customers change so does BMW/Mercedes. You should simply not hold and grudge towards BMW ;)
M3 still offer better comfort and handling than C63 and comfort was not BMW strong points with M cars in the past. BMW M have better balance between comfort and handling nowadays so its going to be very intresting to see if the next M3 can step up the differences even more.

:D

Still, I think the "award" ( :D ) is also shared with Hyundai's headlights, and in fact if you look closely, they have a lot in common. Is incredible sad, but Merc and Hyundai have some many similar design clues these days...

At least Hyundai's headlamps have way better exterior design :) But I should agree MB is starting to look like a Korean manufacturer but not that well executed :D

Kias are very nice indeed. Hyundai... mm.. well; I think they're the ugliest things I ever seen (along many, many Toyotas)

Wolfgang: What's that speed limit assist? (geschwingdkeitlimit assisten)

LOL. :D

I have a feeling these lights will look *BETTER* in the flesh, when you see them in 3D and their appropriate/intended angles, but they'll always look bad compared to what they would have been, had they a more cunning and sharp, or elegant cut.

^ They've spent so much time on the most ugly of the whole bunch...
Comparing this thing with legends ain't right...

What a stupid ad, using a theme that should have been beautiful. What's with the dated 80's/90's Rocktronica? Is this some super out-of-touch attempt to make the car appear "Techy"? Look at Porsche's majestic and informative ad for the new 911 to see how this is done right.

The final shot also is a horrible angle for those very angle-specific (so specific there really ain't a good angle :D) headlights.

Also, why do they say the R129 stopped production in '98? I really hope this isn't M-B Official.

Seeing this video, just couldn't believe my eyes that MERCEDES said R129 was discontinued in 1998. Also, the overall crumpled and jagged style of this video does not help, nor is the ackward music theme... New SL is shown from strange angles and for too short time. Looks unprofessional.
