For the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, see Mercedes-Maybach S-Class (Z223)
Wow totally disagree there. The W223 is very clearly an S-class to me and doesn't suffer in the presence department imo.

The rear is not S-Class at all.
All S-Class had a one-piece rear light, that was a typical S-Class design “Merkmal” as the Gernans says. And also the 140, 220, 221, 222 had them upright and not horizontal and specially not 2-piece.
Because now we have this shame, which you cant find even in a Kia:

The same adjustment in the Swiss configurator. Does that have anything to do with an improvement in the 6-cylinder engines, which will also be introduced with the new E-Class W214?

I think this is Mercedes counter with the S450 to the new BMW 740i (US Spec), which has also 280kw of power. I guess the S350d and S400d will eventually get an upgrade with mild hybrid added soon. I am sure the S580 and S580e will get power upgrades soon also to match the respective M760i and M760e models.

I'm hearing that the 580 V8 will be uprated to the 520-540 hp range soon or at FL. I didn't get a timeline from dealer so didn't want to hedge my bets and wait longer for the increase.

So you're happily going to ignore C215 and C216? :cautious:

Mercedes does big coupes so, so well. I like this pair even more than C217, but hey, it's subjetive
The front of both these were cohesive. The biggest and possibly only complaint I have of the C217 is it’s catfish like front, but we can thank pedestrian legislation for that. Other than that niggle, it’s automotive porn
