Mercedes really needs to get it together. They still have some desirable products and they never seem to make much out of them. Where are the US press drives for this car?

It's a good point.
Same can be said of the US press drives for the CLE, SL, GT and W214 - all variants of them.
Aside from the ones where some folks got shipped out to Spain, the amount of US press drives has been low.

Are you going to get one @sako97 or are you happy with your S580?

I’m pretty happy with the S580 mate. In the past i would skipped straight to AMG, but maybe Im getting old now and less willing to eat depreciation buying new. I ECU tuned it so it puts out ~600hp as consolation of avoiding the E performance hybrid.

The S progression has been C215 CL55 (saved my life in a bad accident) -> W221 S600 -> W221 S65 -> C216 CL65 & W221 S550 FL -> C217 S550 -> W222 S63 -> C217 S63 (still have it) -> W223 S580

Amazing range of cars you have been through mate. You've seen it all when it comes to the S and Coupe.

Did Mercedes and BMW exchange their designers or something 🤣. Merc is going full on big grilles, over styling mode whereas it’s the exact opposite with the BMW.

I actually looove the way it looks, if it ends up looking like this of course. I think the gigantic grille works fine, looks more imposing. We’ll see how well they will integrate it to the rest of the design.
