Correct, this is too much for an S-Class. This car has to be elegant and a little bit sporty, but not pretentious.

because you have to, if you take 22-24 inch rims…other ways it would look like a Tractor )

+ it looks sharper

I hate that I like Kim Kardashian's Maybach posted above but I have seen it in person and it looks great on the road. No I don't know her or if she was the one driving it at that time, it's just unmistakable when you see it.

Personally I would've gone with a lighter tint though.

actually its not bad, because of airmatic/MBC..

10 yeas ago i had 22” rims on my Brabus R-Class. Because of airmatic, the ride comfort was still fine. Sure, it wasnt like on the winter 18” wheels, but it was still ok.

The more factory fresh they stay, the more sought after they become. I saw an 1999 S500 W140 being sold on Bring A Trailer for U$$83,500.

220's and 221's are ridiculously cheap here, I could almost buy one of each for what I paid for my E90... I'm under no illusion that they'd represent a whopping potential money pit, but theyre soooo much car for the money. Even if they only lasted for as long as their MOT it's tempting to run one as a beater. If a kept it clean and parked it on the drive it'd probably raise the value of the house!
