I will. It'll probably be next week before I can though, because I closed all of my businesses down for the arrival today, and it's hard to shift these things around like that, so it might be end of next week before I can get the car.

(The dealership is a 400 mile drive away).

AutoBild says the touchpad will be available as from March. But it will be not standard but extra for 178,50 EUR. The S-Class has Command online as standard and nevertheless an upcharge for the touchpad? In the C-class the Command online is including the touchpad.

S Klasse V8 and V12 it comes as standard. In C-Klasse it doesn't come as standard. You need to order at least Radio Audio 20

As far as I know Command online includes the touchpad in the C-Class. Now I don´t understand why the touchpad is no standard in the S-Class although all S-Classes includes Command online.
I hope the "problem" is now better explained. Sorry for potential misunderstandings.

Hi rs271, no was my mistake. I read your post to quick and missed your point, which was perfectly clear. To me it's rather strange as well, that touchpad comes standard with C-Klasse with Comand and not with S-Klasse. It does remind me almost on the "good" old days at Benz, where you had to pay for everything as extra, except for the steering wheel. Spaß beiseite, it's a bit annoying you have to pay extra for such a minor pad of only € 178,50. But from a commerial view I understand them at Sindelfingen. Most cars sold will be V6 (in Europe at least). So they make a nice extra buck/euro with those little touchpads, because everyone will want it; me included

^Hi Mick, no problem. I quite agree with you the extra euro could be the reason to make the touchpad no standard in the whole model range.
Oh yes, the "good" old days at Benz but at other car makers too. As compared to the cars in the past the cars today are luxurious equipped. Formerly such things like the mirror at the passenger side, rear fog-light or rear wiper are extras.

Allanitgrau Magno is available form february 3rd on. Looks more or less like Graphit.

I asked this and my salesman told me they could get me out same day. If not, I won't be upset. I'll just come back home and have them ship the car to me.
