The car looks so muscular and imposing love that front. Totally agree with him on the rims part, Mercedes should've definitely offered different style rims on the AMG line other than those 53 style ones.. confusing and lazy.

The current GLE has been discontinued on the MB website here is South Africa but this new generation GLE has all the ingredients to take the crown away from X5.

Has a full list of dimensions been released? I’ve only seen them scattered about across reviews and articles but no official listing of all in one place

From some sites the following has been revealed:

Length - 4924mm
Width - 2157mm
Height - 1772mm
Wheelbase - 2995mm
Turning circle - 12.02m
Boot space - 825L (2055L with seats folded flat)
Weight - 2170kg (GLE300d)
0-100km/h - 5.6sec (GLE450) and 7.2sec (GLE300d)

In the context of these simplified body designs I welcome them. Fussy graphics don't belong with these smooth body shapes.

Agreed, but it should've maybe been a bit thicker.

In my opinion this is really a very nice car also in the standard trim.I find it very good looking in standard form also and what I find is that the standard one has a very nice elegant look and the AMG has that hard-core in your face look I think Mercedes have done a fine job with this new GLE and have covered the classic side and the AMG side very smartly..only thing i would change is the grill on the standard version..

Not a bad thing in my eyes. Unlike the current model, I feel like the muscularity of the design is still present in the base models.

I think the shape of the new GLE disguises it’s size very well. In the pics it looks to be a much smaller car than 4,92m long. The overall styling of the body with its flared arches rear and pointy front give even the base model a great sporty look

The base headlamps don't look as good as those in the C-class.
