IMHO not genuinely "ugly" per se. Maybe "oddly proportioned" with some isolated "unfortunate" exterior design details. I'm hopeful that the W224 EQ will be somewhat more compelling.

I was looking through the CLS (C219) photo thread, and looking back at this EQS....how did it go so wrong?

It might not be a genuinely "ugly" car, but the exterior design does not deserve or belong to any Mercedes.

I think the AMG star grill looks better than the fugly classic grill. But the problem now it looks like a larger CLA.

Agreed, they literally look identical. But still, better than the classical grille.

After digesting some more pics of the MOPF EQS i do think the changes to the front especially with the AMG star grill look a whole lot better than the Pre FL model, its not a beauty queen but at least fits in well the styling of the CLA
