And although @leylandi is obviously "Mercedes-Benz centric", I never really gained the impression that he so obviously required a "brand fan echo chamber" in order to maintain his composure. He is a source of interesting, at times, valuable information. Although the repeated jibes directed at BMW and the laugh emojis could get a bit excessive. But hey, he is an "Agent Provocateur". And forums such as these can benefit from them, actually. As long as it doesn't get malicious or downright silly.

Yeah...

"laughing emojis" are great when applied to good jokes, humorous anecdotes and genuinely clever smartass quips (Touche´ !).

But otherwise, they can be annoying, juvenile or an indication that their posters have either run out of arguments or are incapable of articulating them in a constructive manner.
 
I laugh a bit when I see EQS facelift. There used to be a rhyme and reason for the "mask" face that the pre-facelift EQS and facelift S-class have vs. the CLA-type face this facelifted EQS ended up with. The front light bar was supposed to be enduring feature across the EV or EV-optional offerings and each of those was going to get this grille setup.

It's since been abandoned, and only products that are expected to bring significant financial impact received investment to revise the design (GLC EV, for example).
 
It was inevitable. He wasn’t even a Mercedes fan at that point, just a lunatic. Now he’s sending me all the negative stuff about Bimmers to my personal Instagram account, lol. Weird. It’s mind boggling to me that someone can be that obsessive with a f*cking car brand.

He's a troll committed to the cause, a troll graduate will always be one, that's the reality. We mustn't forget that while he sometimes provides some relevant information, mostly what he does is deliberately promote many false and nonsensical claims with the sole purpose of provoking and confusing, in addition to harassing the members who reply to him.

I guess I've been left personally unaffected by it. The jibes at much which is "BMW" can be a bit tiresome, unconstructive and sometimes "adolescent fanboy" silly. The excessive, indiscriminate use of "Laughing Emojis" does annoy me at times. In general. Not good should their application indicate the inability to present or articulate a constructive argument in a sprited debate.

But otherwise, I appreciate much of his input. The spyshot postings, some good relevant M-B headline news from competent media outlets, the effort he applies to posting data, etc.

I guess we've all got characteristics that some selected forum participants "love to hate". Comes with the territory. Good sound info remains good sound info, though. Even though one may not be particularly fond of the source. In that sense, maybe we can view all of this as a more "transactional" exercise. Reap what benefits and disregard the rest. Pardon my philosophic drift. I know, I do it far too often.

Perhaps I should have written "ADULT, MEASURED, FACTUAL transactional exercise".

And applying the benefit of a doubt: Sometimes people posting something "wrong" is due to a fleeting error, a brief lapse of logic, or something being lost in translation, or simply having an "off day". It happens and may not be intentional.

However the exterior is a different story, it looks like it was designed in China with a bad translator German Chinese.

The Germans explained them how to design it but they used a drunken translator which translated the stuff a little bit differently.

Did BMW put much effort onto the LCI i7 architecture?

Undesirable at is, the EQS seems to have a decent offering of drivetrains.

The Germans explained them how to design it but they used a drunken translator which translated the stuff a little bit differently.

It makes little sense the EQS was given yet another FL bringing it in line with the ICE and plug in hybrids. And it's a pretty tragic FL too. It not better in any way. You just end up staring at its oddness for new reasons.

If they were really serious about saving the EQS, they would have grafted the GLC and C front end design on as its supposed to be part of the EQ range. Probably far too much engineering involved unfortunately.
