Sonder, the problem is that you're defying the purpose of this car with "some bad ass wheels". The designers and the engineers struggled to make this car to have the lowest cd of 0.2, and you want to put bigger wheels just to make it look acceptable? This car is not even yet on the road to have the irl test for the range to know exactly the consumption.... Do you imagine how much the kWh/ 100km will increase when you will Photoshop those side skirts and tint the windows?

I dont care about the range
I wouldnt buy this car because its electric (btw. an EV is the biggest fraud in car history), but because i like its futuristic design
+ the wheels that i gave to the car, are their own original 22” wheels, so no problem

The C4 Picasso may better be compared to the R-Class? Also regarding their similar aerodynamic drags of 0.30 and 0.31 or so.
The EQS may be an improved CLS? Also seen by the drag: 0.20 compared to 0.26 for the current CLS. Not sure if it can extend its tail like the Concept IAA?

Range Test - 52months usage of B250e EV in Midwest

Ahead of ordering the EQS we performed a real life range test of our 4.5 year old B250e. The car has 28,000mi was driven in temperatures from -15C to +35C. Official range when car was new was 87mi + 17mi = 104mi (RANGE Plus option).

We performed the test at 15C with performance summer tires at Night (Xenon Lights on) and had activated the Range Plus feature.

Result was surprising...

Actual Range ==> We drove 125mi before the car displayed 0% SOC (It probably had another 5-7mi but we didn't want to risk it)

We drove 90% on Interstate (Albeit abiding by 55mph limit)

Bottom line - The B250e is not a pure EV (modified ICE) has 36KWH battery and Tesla drive train but aged really well from a battery performance!

I look forward to driving my EQS580!

1.) Thats right, all over Slovenia its max 300 km one way
2.) To my office in Slovenia i have 30 km
3.) To ny office in Munich i have 400 km
so, it wouldnt hurt me, if the car had a 50-100 km shorter range because other skirts&wheels, although i’m saying it again and again: the skirts would be original, just in car color and the wheels would be original the 22”, so.. ??‍?

Once again, apparently untampered images that flatter the EQS. @Sonder need not flog the horse with photoshopped images any longer. @Wolfgang is posting far more compelling authentic images and hence is doing a far better job of promoting the car.

The interior looks so inviting. Although the exterior is very controversial and a bit like the Ford Sierra at launch, the interior is a lovely piece of art and looks like a nice place to relax and eat up the miles,

I remember when the Sierra was launched in the early 80s people were gobsmacked and thought it was so futuristic. Some people didnt like its sleek raked design and prefered the boxier Cortina, but eventually after some familiarity it became a success and the design was liked by many people.

I didn't mind the Sierra, which we got in the US as a Merkur Sierra. I thought it looked kinda cool in the XR4Ti spec. We also got this State-side...

It reminded me of a bloated Saab 9000. Anyway, back to subject at hand, when I first saw the side profile of the EQS, it reminded of this, if the design had continuously evolved.

For sure, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and even more to have their own taste, but we all know that if most of the people are saying it's at most likeable, it means there's a problem with the design.

So if everyone in this forum says a car is a mistake, then that makes it a fact???

You should never make that type of decision based on the people in this forum. Other places people love the car.

The true test of this car and any car is what actual buyers think. Once it hits the market, then we can talk about there being a Problem.
