EQS (V297) [Official] Mercedes-Benz EQS

The Mercedes-Benz EQS (V297) is a battery electric full-size luxury liftback car produced by Mercedes-Benz Group and part of the Mercedes-Benz EQ family. Production: May 2021- Model years: 2022–
Some 20 years ago a friend of mine bought a 6,9 SEL for 5000 DMark in an excellent condition. He had no respect to the car abusing it in every possible way and ruined it for an year. I still feel sorry about this car. But it was thirsty. In the way he drove it, it consumed about 45 l/100 km.
On the matter of fuel consumption. MB in those days said it consumed 16-18 ltrs on average. My impression is however, that in real life you couldn't get a 6.9 moving with less than 20 ltrs per 100 km, gently stroking the gaspedal.

EQS: "I'm the S-class of the future!"
S-Class: "In your dreams, fat boy!"

The EQS just looks tragic next to the W223, and I'm not even that big of a fan of the 223. The S looks immeasurably more like an athlete in a well tailored suit than the EQS - the EQS isn't even in the same league.

Most unfortunate is that the EQS cannot seem to transport that "air of highest quality" that is so often synonymous with the Mercedes-Benz brandname. Frankly, a comparativly "lowly" Audi A6 or BMW 5er convey the impression of being a far more polished automobiles.

"Das Beste Oder Nichts"...? Da fühlt man sich total verarscht."

So true. In the light of your words, I fail to understand that everybody is talking about EQS as being the electric S-Class. It's not.

Have you both had the opportunity to spend some considerable time in the EQS, @Oida and @Mick Briesgau?

We won't be seeing any here for a few more months at least, but pre orders are reportedly very strong, outstripping S-Class sales.

Yeah i heard same from the guy at Mercedes watford he said they have more orders for EQS then the S class i was like wow ....

Also they had two EQA on the floor he daid to get a EQA if i order now it will take minimum 8 months he said EQA ks selling very well..

You can't always win, on the one hand thank you Mercedes, on the other it's sad

No, certainly not considerable time. My experience, so far, has been limited to two "look see" encounters-the first through a showroom window, the second in the showroom having only briefly taken a seat in the car and again checking out its' exterior. Not being in the "EQS demographic", my interest is generally far more casual, far more limited than is the case with other automobiles.

Yes, my dealer has one.

I can't wait to check it out!

Would love to expeince this car inside in the night i think it would be spectacular drive
Beyond that I agree with what it should be and it looks more than amazing, won't so much distracting light become a bit annoying? avoiding keeping focus on the street ...
