Can't say I love it, but I don't hate it either.
For now, I'd still take the pre-facelift.

Absolutely not impressed with the new design language. The pre FL w213 looks much more cohesive with a smooth timeless design. The aggressive front end with those bug-eyed headlights and Lexus looking rear is a no for me dawg IMO

Overall, I don't love the soft headlights. The FL isn't better than the pre-FL, just different. I will note the S-class pulls off the headlights better due to the more imposing front end.

So is no one going to mention how weird the non-AMG line steering wheel looks?

I think its hideous.

MB is very inconsistent when it comes to steering wheel designs. Sometimes they're great and sometimes they're downright weird. The current AMG wheel was great until they literally put in in everything; aging the deign quickly and taking away any sort of special-ness it had.

I think the rear design of the saloon is an improvement. To me it was one of the weak spots of the pre-MOPF - it was very soft and nondescript, even in AMG spec. Very derivative of the W222 and W205, both of which were better executed.

I'm noticing that many don't like the makeover of the new class e on fact they removed the large chrome grill and in my humble opinion they could touch up the interior ; I don't like the dual screen ; luckily I'm sure they will separate it from the next series

Any one know how much more it can drive itself than the current E class? It doesn't appear able to do much more. Other than emergency lane corridor thing, and a capacitative wheel, the only exciting innovation is Urban guard and parking when other cars aren't about....
Really disappointed with the design, as almost every other post says, totally agree, lost their way, I'd rather buy the model I have again. How can they mess up so many things. At least they can blame Corona virus and Brexit for poor sales. I think they have gone too far in trying to appeal to young people, fine with the A class and the super sporty AMGs, but you look at their social media feeds, the only people excited are people that will never buy one or people that are still at school plus a couple of youtubers/instagram influencers they continue to associate themselves with. Big thumbs down. Not sure what car I will get next now.

I can't say that I'm seeing any real aesthetic improvement over the pre-facelift. If anything it's an E Class-went-awol.

LaArtist can thank his lucky stars that he's a Porker fan these days because he'd have his tighty whiteys round his ankles right now closely followed by klier.
