E-Class (W212/C207/A207) [Official] Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W212) Facelift

The Mercedes-Benz W212 is the fourth generation of the E-Class range. It is the successor to the W211 E-Class. Body styles: four-door sedan/saloon (W212) and five-door estate/wagon (S212). Coupé and convertible models of the W212 E-Class generation are W204 C-Class based and known as the C207 and A207, replacing the CLK-Class (C209 and A209) coupé and cabriolet. Production: March 2009 – January 2016 (sedan), December 2009 – May 2016 (station wagon).
That sports front bumper looks horrible, same with the sports grill, it does not suit the E-class at all. I wish MB will stop stuffing that grill onto everything. Even the B-class has it, and how sporty is that car?

They are the standard 'partial LED' headlights, not the optional full LED lights you see in all of the press release photos so far.

Excuse me, but why could not the normal Benz grille be standard and the only option? The "sport" grille looks to be one of those concepts you are glad never made into production, except this did. I do not like this. As for the rest of the car, I like.

By the way, if I had been put on a time capsule and told three years had passed, I would have no trouble thinking this to be 213 from the outside.

M-B is definitely trying their hardest to make it look like there's an iPhone laying sideways on your dash. Lol.

Coupe/Cabriolet ;):)

Where did you get that from? That looks very good, never thought I would say it, but maybe the E coupe will look better after the FL. I actually think it will look a lot better after the FL (unlike the sedan). Those headlights look great, and if that stupid fender flare is gone and the slightly change the rear lights too, we could have a real winner here.

And here's the standard clear lense:

These interior pics are great, but is the standard version going to have stiching in dash and seat piping?
I doubt it.

I doubt it too. There's a couple of photos of the standard dash and it looks like it still has the hard dash. Even a Camry has a nice soft dash, stitched to make it look premium and the Germans will charge an arm and a leg for a leather dash on a $70K+ car.

Even after you pay $$$ for the leather dash, it won't even be genuine leather but some artificial material.

I have a feeling we in the U.S won't get to have the "Luxury" grille at all, since M-B said the UK won't even get it, and here all our cars are Sports anyways, basically.

I'd love to see a Luxury grille with the new AMG Sports bumper, could be a very stark contrast that just happens to work in giving a dynamic frontal presence that we see from the current E.
No i'm sure we will have the best of both worlds in the US because we are like one of the biggest markets and they will pretty sure offer both to add to the variety like they do with the C class. i'm in love with the Luxury grille but that new sport grille takes some time getting used to from the side it adds and awkward look to it

noticed this executive seating package model i wonder if its for the L version in certain markets or a special package

Thanks for uploading this video.

I'm slowly warming to the look of the sports model. I still don't think it should be a part of the E-Class line. If the shut lines weren't so crappy (likely because of the safety regulations) it would look better.

I hope they include more press with the classic grille. Effing marketing guys are clearly at the reigns here.

Looks really good in the video.

Been watching this thread for some time now and I'm quite amazed by some of the negative criticism. I think this is a successful modernisation - albeit the most drastic Benz facelift ever - that brings the E-Class styling and frontal DRG more in line with Mercedes Benz's design language direction. The rear fenders flares are better resolved too giving the car a sleeker, cleaner side aspect.

Is this a coffee maker for new Attenttion Assist?.. Mercedes realy taking that stuff seriously :ROFLMAO:

Coffee maker would be great, this is a speaker with an acoustic lens. Basically the should is pushed up, and reflected out at 180 degrees. Not sure it's necessary in a car, but it's certainly nice at home ! B&O certainly seem to be popular in cars atm. Probably a good thing, because I'm not sure the company would have survived otherwise.

The last video it looks awesome I really am now liking the Sports version...those lights are spectacular and futuristic...I say well done to MB I think this is one Superb Face lift.

After seeing the videos I'm getting more and more enthousiastic  What a beautiful, chique car this has turned out to be. It looks much more sleek and stretched as the pre FL. Though still not sure about the sports grill (Avantgarde grill). Perhaps IRL it looks just as beautiful as the Elegance grill.
I aplaude the MB-design team!

You're the same as me Mick, it's growing on me. I still much prefer the Elegance grille..

Jeeze man, c'mon, M-B is not the unquestionable halo you think it is, they take lots of ideas from others. It's pretty obvious that's trying to look like a Smartphone, i.e an iPhone.

Hell, even BMW made an iPad lookalike on their 6 Series.

I think the interior is trying too hard, centre reminds me of Audi instantly.
The sports grille, imo, is them trying to put their "new" design that they have on every other MB model, onto a car that shouldn't have this kinda design.
And come on, that frame of the luxury grill is way too thick, it's sooooo damn thick.

In the Highlights video, you can see some parts of the new E- Class Coupe at 1.26, 1.41 and 2.33.

THAT'S the way this car should look. Not that stupid ill-fit Star grille forced on by the marketing team

Love the luxury grille evolution here, though I'm not sure if I like it more than the pre-facelfit (pre-facelift IMO has one of the most epic fronts of the past several years).

Give us a Luxury Grille with AMG Sports Package option and it'll look far more unique and interesting and dynamically multi-character'd from the front, more so than any other M-B with the generic Star grille.
