The Mercedes-Benz W212 is the fourth generation of the E-Class range. Body styles: sedan/saloon (W212), estate/wagon (S212). Coupé and convertible models of the W212 E-Class generation are W204 C-Class based and known as the C207 and A207, replacing the CLK-Class (C209 and A209) coupé and cabriolet. Production: 2009–2016. Predecessor: W211 E-Class. Successor: W213 E-Class.

So Merc1, are you thinking about upgrading the CLK? Or will you wait for the next generation MB cars to come out?

I Love everything about it! Even Luxury model looks aggressive.
yes it looks agressive because it has a revamped AMG bumper different from the limo and estate. There the bumper is still based on the old bumper architecture. The coupe and convertible bumper looks similar to the CLA nonAMG bumper.

The AMG bumpers are the same for coupe/vert and limo/estate. It seems from now on that "sport" models (coupes/4door coupes and convertibles) will have different bumpers than their normal siblings. But who knows the B class has an old version AMG bumper as standard and the A class has its new iteration as standard.

I think AMG bumper will be for E550 coupe/convertible, Regular bumper for E350 coupe/conv. This how it is today in US, you cant get AMG pack on E350.

yes it is different from Europe where you can get whatever you like so E200 with AMG pack.

This is one sh!t hot facelift. Can't wait to see this in the metal. Well judged, Mercedes Benz, well judged...

Great looking facelift. Headlights are working really well with the front of the car and now the rearlights look MUCH better with the new graphics. Interior looks a lot higher in quality and shows 'less' of the C-Class roots. I also think the profile works better with the new bumper.

In looking at the videos, the coupe and convertible facelifts seem better intergrated than the sedan/wagon's. The coupe/conv looks better too.

I completely agree.

Before the facelift, I just couldn't digest the E Coupe and Cabrio. I've seen many on the road, but the design felt wrong to me. Now, everything seems to flow better and it actually looks good!

I didn't have any issues with the pre-fl E Sedan, it's a nice car. The facelift of the sedan/touring is kind of indifferent for me...

Something about the new front and back make the side profile of the car look a lot more crisp and long.

I don't know if it's camera trickery or something because if you guys remember, everybody was raving crazy about how hot the "E" Coupe looked in initial press photos yet in person it just immediately lost that presence and effect.

This car with a true E wheelbase would have been such a stunner. The pics give it the impression of that proper length but in person the C's chassis forces it to look a lot stubbier and more compact than I'd wish.

I'm hoping that since they're going to do a full C-Class line next time around, coupe, convertible, sedan and wagon....that they will move the E Coupe/Convertible up to the E-Class chassis and make it more like the 6-Series, but not that pricey. More like a cheaper CL than a more expensive C-Class. The next generation is the time to do it.

This facelift does the coupe and cabriolet more justice over the sedan and estate.

Agree. This looks a lot better than the E sedan. Not sure about the tailights, but I'll get over them.

But wow, this is indeed a nice update.

Front end looks like sh!t. Out of proportion, grill and headlamps does not harmonize at all. Looks like a small entry level Benz or some kind of Van from Daimler/Renault:poop:

I keep looking at this video, this thing actually looks good. Really good. The Sport version of the Cabrio should be FIRE. I just wish there was an AMG version, a 63 version with the 6.2L V8. They got this right by leaving the rear fenders in place, they fit the hippy nature of a coupe moreso than the sedan. Mercedes' design may be thinking correctly after all. This looks good.

Oh boy, I'm loving this! That red Sport model almost looks too good to be true. Very sporty, even aggressive frontal aspect; perhaps a touch overbearing for what, ostensibly, is meant to be Merc's classier coupe/cabrio offering.

What it really needed was some reconstructive surgery on the rear portion like they did with the front portion. The Taxi Cab taillights just don't compliment what should be a sexy Coupe. Some CLS-esque taillights would have really set the car off.
