In this rare instance I prefer the cab over the coupe.
I quite like the E Coupe, but the Cabriolet looks even better. However, this car is very color-dependent. I think lighter colors give it an enlongated look that almost captures the grandeur of the S Cab, while darker colors give it a stubbier, almost bull-dog look, especially in that red-wine color.
I'd take this in silver with a blue top (I have to have blue somewhere). I hope they do offer the interior leather in blue.
The coupe looks fantastic, only thing I find off putting is that the rear tires remind me of a tricycle due to its proportions. I don't get those vibes from the cab.
They'll be making some of these in South Africa.
The color looks much better under the sun.
It looks quite subtle under showroom lights but you can see the extra depth and subtle shift in color under natural lighting. It actually looks quite nice under the showrooms' artificial light.
I think MB Australia made the correct choice and make the AMG line as standard for all coupes and convertibles. But again, this photograph is a reminder of just how spec-sensitive the C238 is. While running some errands this morning, a black C238 cabriolet rolled along directly next to my driver side in heavy traffic. A no frills, non-AMG package example with rather basic alloy rims. Very plain looking offering little if anything to catch the eye.
To follow up on my previous posts, here it is under the sun. Ruby red I assume, looks fantastic, and it really works well with the design. The color looks much better under the sun.
