While I am not defending Mercedes's recent styling practice, the GLA...is part of the A-class family so you would expect the family resemblance to the other A-class models.

Yeah sure, I buy that. But it doesn't have to look almost exactly like it. I mean, the Q3 and the A3 differ more then the GLA/A. And there is nobody else in the market known for copy/paste then Audi themselves. So if MB beat them at that, it's really not a compliment...

Did I hit a soft spot there? Look at my post above. I am not in denial what Audi have been doing for years. I have always been aware of that. But you seem to be in denial what MB is doing now. Time to wake up?

Almost all Audis looks similarly but Mercedes is a whole new level copying themselves. That would be not a big deal but I don't like this new Korean design on Mercedes. Mercedes should be classy not trashy.

I never denied MBs were looking more and more similar. What doesn't make sense, as I tried to point out, is that you are attacking MB for their "copy-paste" design philosophy (in every MB thread) despite your favourite car brand doing the same. It just doesn't make sense to me how you could approve of Audi's approach towards the same philosophy but be appalled when MB does the same.

Just because Mercedes comes up with a new name for the product (eg: CLA vs A) and Audi just modifies an existing one (A3 Sedan vs A3) doesn't mean MB OR the consumer thinks they're creating an entirely new product. Audi's approach is probably the smarter one as it excuses some of the homogamy but the A3 sedan and A3 look like a cut-paste job to me too.

Ok now...........I don't recall Tumbo ever approving Audi's design approach, so guys can we just leave it at this point. You guys are free to debate this matter over at the design thread.
