Is it possible for mercedes to have different tune of power for the e53 and cls53?

from what I saw in real life, the CLS450 is not that much attractive, it is somehow bland.

However, everything changes once I saw the CLS53, the additional body kit curves and the exhausts combined with AMG grill and a nice looking wheels makes the car look stunning. I was not fully convinced with the AMG43 treatment on the E class, but the CLS53 is a game changer.

Disagree. Seeing the CLS450 in the wild this weekend I feel it's an exceptionally beautiful car.

I'm yet to see a 53.

I have seen a few of these. They have zero road presence. The last gen, as Bulbous as it was looked good and unique. This just blends in and not in a good way.

I've seen them drive around for months. Zero presence indeed, and only the front looks moderately good. The rest is plain and leaning towards ugly.

And then we have the FACT that they see the CLS as some second grade Mercedes these days.... With a severely underpowered engine as max output. Pathetic.

Of course that is possible. Why on earth wouldn't it be possible? Now whether they actually do it is another question altogether.

What nonsense. All of this is your biased opinion not fact. There is nothing severely underpowered or second grade about the CLS. Gotta love it when opinion is passed off as facts.

Looks better than any BMW in the whole Line up. And preVious line up, and the one before that.
And probably the coming line up to.

Oh and btw

F Bmw as a staff, car label and as a mfing racing crew
And if you want to be down with Bmw, then f you too
Susanne.K , f you too

Tantamount rhetoric if it’s a MB or VAG product.

It looks like the aeria that you fly has too much radiation, maybe you should spend more time on the ground.

After having these on the showroom for a week, I am underwhelmed. It just doesn't look like from the outside.
Can't put my finger on it, but it doesn't have the same visual grab that the last two did.

Saw my first one on the round last week. Zero presence. Rear lights remind me of an Infiniti. Definitely worst effort.

You folks have got to be kidding me. What am I missing? Look, I have yet to see it IRL but I have high expectations, anticipating a sleek, elegant, not shouty (demure even) and classy car. Is my judgement that far off?

I was waiting to see it in real life to form an opinion... was disappointed. Rear is poorly executed and just doesn’t have the wow factor or presence of previous generations. Maybe a 53 will be better but the 400 I saw def didn’t do anything for me.

I saw a couple this weekend and if you're looking for "wow!" factor than this is not the car. It's just as sleek and elegant as you're probably thinking and not shouty in the least. It's not a "statement" car like the last-gen was and that's not a bad thing in my eyes. I find it to be far classier than its direct predecessor. The first-gen still has the best blend of presence and purity to me but this overshadows the 2nd gen in my opinion.

This all to say the AMG 53 trim has the necessary amount of aggressiveness that I'd need to consider for purchase. No different than me respecting a standard trim S-class but only wanting a sport model.

One of the most "configuration dependent" automobiles. Canned sardines on saltines-or Beluga cavier on hesawi rice wafers.

Some may argue that the new CLS is a "fishy car" like that.

Rest assured Martin, they are wrong. LOL. It makes the previous CLS look like a hot mess.
