C-Class (W205) [Official] Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W205)

The Mercedes-Benz W205 is the fourth generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class which was produced by Daimler AG between 2014 and 2021. The W205 C-Class was preceded by the W204 C-Class and superseded by the W206 C-Class. The fourth-generation C-Class was available in sedan (W205), station wagon/estate (S205), coupe (C205), cabriolet (A205) and long-wheelbase sedan (V205) body styles.
Very nice package from Wald. I especially like the wheels. Nice colour and spoiler package.

One of the things that I appreciate most regarding the W/S/C205 C-Class cars is that they possess a repertoire as expansive and versatile as that of the finest method actors. From absolutely unassuming and pedestrian...to...moderately sporting and/or elegant...to...genuinely athletically elegant...to...brutally testosterone-laden.

We Germans' have a term-"eierlegende Wollmilchsau" (loosely translated: "an it can do everything" jack of all trades). This, without many reservations, applies to the C-Class range. A bit like the Christian Bale of cars.

As per Mercedes Passion Blog the W205 Saloon will end production in Germany in November 2020.

THE CURRENT C-CLASS SEDAN EXPIRES IN NOVEMBER 2020

he last sedan of the current C-Class 205 generation is expected to be produced at Mercedes-Benz at the beginning of November 2020. The T-model variant of the 205 series will continue to run until the beginning of February 2021.

First the sedan, then the T-model

After the first prototypes of the new C-Class generation of the 206 series had long been on the road, the current C-Class series was already counted. Initially, the sedan will probably no longer be available for order from the beginning of September 2020 and will be phased out in production at the beginning of November, while the T-model of the 205 series should be available until the first few days of November 2020 and will not expire as planned until the beginning of February 2021.

The question is when Mercedes-Benz will present the new generation of the C-Class and when the order will be approved. We expect the sales release for this at the end of the 1st quarter of 2021, whereby the models should already be available at dealers by the end of the 2nd quarter of 2021.

Successor generation only with 4-cylinder AMG variants

Incidentally, if you are still thinking about getting a Mercedes-AMG 8-cylinder C 63 S as a sedan or T-model of the 205 series, you have a few days left - in the successor model there is only a 4-cylinder variant with hybrid -Drive. But the upcoming C 43 will also have two fewer cylinders.

Seriously?

There is no way the C-class sedan is ending production in November. We've hardly seen the W206 compared to the hugely drawn out strip tease of the W223.

I'd be happy if it were true. Mum needs a new car and the C-class is really her only choice.

My mom also loves her C but she says if it take long she may opt for a GLA as she feels now as she getting older the GLA is easier to get in and out I even suggested a B class which she says is very nice with its height.

That is true.

I'm wondering if my mum should get a GLB so my parents can take all their grandchildren away and give us some respite :ROFLMAO:

They were probably referring to the Bremen plant (I can't confirm the date though). South Africa will definitely still be producing W205 going into 2021.

Air condition leak on Cclass 2015 w205, remove dashboard to change coil / evaporator

hello,

My air condition is not cool anymore after 6 years without doing anything (I don't know if I should have done some maintenance ?), but when I add some gaz, it's cool again.
Is it correct to think that we should never have to add any gaz ? So it means that it's leaking ?

And if it's leaking, is it true that we have to remove the dashboard to change the evaporating coil (or anything it is called) ?

Is it the only solution to fix aircon problem ? and if anyone removes the full dashboard, is it better to just change the whole aircon system, compressor included ? (where is it located please?)

Finally, do you know how can any garage / mechanic be sure that the evaporator coil is leaking without removing the dashboard ? Just because gaz level is lower means that evaporator is leaking ? There is no other solution ?

Thank you so much for your help.

1. You shouldn’t have to add anything if the system is working properly
2. Yes, they’ll have to remove the dash. Most cars nowadays have the evaporator buried in the car.
3. You shouldn’t need to change anything else while you’re in there.
4. most shops can run due through the system to check for leaks. The last time I had this problem with a previous car 2 shops couldn’t find any leaks, but there ended up being a tiny hole in the evaporator.

Good luck. It’s an expensive fix due to labor.

Personally I find the yellow accent against matte black and chrome UGLY.

I would rather have a standard C63S or a final edition E63.

The W205 C-class coupe is still a great looking car and especially in C63S looks brutal with the flared rear wheel arches.
