C-Class (W205) [Official] Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W205)

The Mercedes-Benz W205 is the fourth generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Body styles: W205 (sedan), S205 (wagon/estate), C205 (coupé), A205 (cabriolet), and V205 (long-wheelbase). Production: 2014–2021, 2016–2023 (coupé/cabriolet). Model years: 2015–2021, 2017–2023 (coupé/cabriolet). Predecessor: C-Class W204. Successor: C-Class W206.
A few weeks ago it received an environmental certificate and now it's time to get yet another green appraisal in the form of a allergy-friendly seal of quality from the Center for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF) for passenger cars.

We are of course talking about the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205, which has been designed with both the well-being of the environment and its passengers in mind from the get go, as the adjacent testing images prove.

“We are delighted that the allergy-friendly nature of our Mercedes-Benz passenger cars has now been scientifically and independently recognized through the award of the ECARF Seal”, commented Dr Jörg Breuer, Director Certification, Regulatory Affairs & Environment at Daimler AG. “Indeed, the constant improvement of air quality in the interior has for many years now been a key aspect of the development of components and materials for Mercedes-Benz vehicles.”

Mercedes-Benz has been testing the interior emissions of all its passenger car since 1992, going as far as hiring a team of olfactory experts who ensure that all smells in Mercedes-Benz vehicles remain at a consistently pleasant level.

The all-new C-Class W205 is the latest three-pointed star vehicle to have received the ECARF Seal of Quality, joining all other current Mercedes-Benz models. “In our estimation, Mercedes-Benz currently represents the benchmark in terms of allergen optimization for vehicles,” according to Professor Dr Torsten Zuberbier, Director of the European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF).

You can check out the official press release below to understand just how much work went into the new C-Class just from the olfactory point of view.

You can't compare the sound of an engine built to save polar bears to an engine that sounds like polar bears being shredded. Anyway, 17 minutes and 8 seconds of M156 glory.

Woa it seems a lot bigger!

This just shows how well the w204 with amg kit has aged. It still looks good.

I also prefer the new C with amg kit in a lighter colour.

The new car seems to look a lot wider than W204 and more rounded. The back window seems smaller and roof line is also more curved towards rear.
