4.6sec 0-100km/h is just slightly better than the M135xi... this car must be a bit heavy.
The HP/L ratio is impressive! Everything sounds perfect but the 0-100... which is truly good but I'm sure it's capable of more :)

It's supposed to be released tomorrow. Autobild posted it too early, and deleted it. ;)

They should offer just this version of the A in America, the A45 AMG. In limited numbers of course, I think it would become a instant cult hit.

Visually it doesn't differentiate much, or it is just me? But it is not a bad thing in reality. It is a sleaper.

180 PS/l!!! 360 PS from a 2.0l I4 is impressive for a mass production car. By these measure M3/M4's 3.0l I6 must make 540 PS, compared to the 420 PS it is going to make. Again another big slap in BMW's face. :D

A45 vs RS3, going to be very inteesting :)

And why don't you mention the M135i? Not a contender? Well there'll yet be the M2. CLA 45 AMG vs. RS3 Sedan vs. M2 GranCoupé.

Now I don't see BMW putting a 2.0l I4 into the M2. So they'll leave the 3.0l I6. Strategy inversion? Now BMW is the "big engine monster"? Not the case of M5/M6 however.

It's impressive no doubt, but this being a turbocharged engine, hp per liter is hardly relevant anymore like in the NA days.

I do :)

The A45 is a great little hot hatch guys. Congrats to MB!

Of course PS/l of FI engines is not the same as NA engines. But it is still always possible to use this measurement to compare different performance FI engines with on another. What makes it different is that making high HP numbers is easy, but reliability must be taken into considerations.

Well and regarding M2 engine, I guess there'll be the same debate as with M3/M4 engine (I6 vs. V6). But once we'll here M2 mules, it won't be difficult to find out if its I4 or I6.

Oooh look at the seats...those will be in the CLA45 AMG no doubt. Nice!
