A-Class (W176) [Official] Mercedes-Benz A-Class (W176)

The W176 model was introduced at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show officially as a subcompact executive / C-segment model for the first time after being a supermini / B-segment for fifteen years.
Hi folks,
Does anyone have a link to the Command manual? specifically linguatronic commands..
My car left Rastatt on friday, should get it towards end of this week, need to kill some time :p
thx in advance!

you mean like this ?

no no no please dont compare the a250s lights to that ! *eek* !
No not those ones, the ones, but yes something like that 2006 hatchback. Not sure what year, but it's those similar big ones. Intersting though, I noticed the new corolla has much different rears, gone away from the big square shape. Pity the Aseries didn't take some styling cues from the cla - or maybe it hadn't been designed at that time. I bet the next gen A series has something much closer to the cla style.
I might have to black mine out :wideyed: :)

Hey Alebonau, I keep meaning to ask you if you've tried out the park assist much? I always found the vw system a bit too particular reguarding speed, distance and position from parked car etc. Just not quite smart enough and too much bother to use it.

not tried no. but should. been meaning to refresh myself how it works. the way the dealer showed me seemed pretty simple and effective. but yeah probably something I'd try in an empty bay very carefully first !

Curious as how you'd go about doing that? saw several products to achieve this but can't decide...

I just found out from my MB guy, that the COMMAND system upgrade (3 years free upgrade in Switzerland package) does upgrade the whole software and not only maps.
Meaning that we can all get the iphone fix. Sorry if this was common knowledge, came as news to me :)

NTG 4.5 Generation 3
All W176 A-Class will now feature the NTG 4.5 Gen 3 telematics platform. The highlight of this upgraded platform being COMAND Online usage with iPhone® and Android®.)

so not only do you have awesome watches... now this...

Clip and Alebonau, I'm not sure if it is a similar system but the Park Assist on my older 2008 A200 works a charm, and dare I say I've used it nearly every time I need to reverse park. The tighter the space, the better the chances, and I like how it is continuous scanning below a certain speed. Sometimes it gives me the arrow whilst stationary at the lights! Mine is probably the first version of Park Assist so yours might even be able to do 90 degree parks?

Regards,
Chung

Kdcorp, while they are able to update the software, I'm pretty sure the iPhone element will not be part of the update and the actual NTG 4.5 V3 hardware will be necessary. That's what I was told by the dealer.

Amat46, the article is simply saying that the A-class's sales globally have not been able to offset the sales decline in China. MB has MAJOR problems in China. As an example in just the mid size sector last year BMW and AUDI sold almost 100,000 more A6's and 5 series compared to the E-class. But Mercedes are working on fixing the situation. I'm not sure what the sales volume for the A-class is in China, or if it is even sold there.

Thx Mr. Mercedes, will double check this as soon as mine arrives. Probably best to ask a tech than my dealer... i never seem to get a confident answer from dealers :/

in regards to all the talk about the tail lights... personally i really like them... for me it's one massive tick over the CLA...

I love the tron lighting style with the simplicity of having one line as oppose to multiple lines and loops everywhere...

Wow, just headed over to the cla forum. That's a scary place! Seems no one likes them much - especially the americans - worst mercedes ever made, shouldn't have the badge, cheap, aweful looking, too small, generic styling, won't be around for long, no resale, pointless POS, etc etc. Reads more like a hate forum!

Glad I haven't ordered one of those dreadful cars!

gumpy you hit it ! tron ! yes that just sums up perfectly. guys see these lights in person. for me its just another aspect of this car I find a stunner actually. hit the plipper and stand back and stare...I've done that a few times hehe

clip that is scary indeed ! re the cla ! such a new thing. I guess its going to divide. never thought hate though hehe

my guess is people wanting a sedan and a merc are going to be drawn though. the a250 has been such a hit. I just cant help thinking the cla will be an even bigger hit ! there are a lot of people prefer sedans to hatches. :)
