A-Class (W176) [Official] Mercedes-Benz A-Class (W176)

The W176 model was introduced at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show officially as a subcompact executive / C-segment model for the first time after being a supermini / B-segment for fifteen years.
Thanks Kaktusdigital
I remember them telling me about the delivery fee reduction but nothing else, so thanks for the info.

a bit cheeky with some of it though, take the reduce delivery fee + mats for example. They'll argue that the A-class is too new so they 'can't' discount.. and then the car comes with mats anyway!

Hi gumpy, check out this pic which shows exactly whats under the boot.

Here's a good vid for people considering custom exhaust.

Not sure on the MB, but if it was a vag vehicle, I'd be expecting at least one DSG clutch pack plus a later rebuild. For a TDI, also a DPF unit and a complete pull down of the intake system.
Be interesting to see how the A series hold up.

yes was why as soon as 3 years and warranty was up on my golf gti it was gone...I had no prob with it during ownership but not taking any chances. have heard of no troubles with mercs as you do with VWs so fingers crossed :)

Maybe an A45 alebonau? ツ

who knows hehe. have a friend whom has pre ordered an a45 and boy I think its going to be a beauty. but yeah a250 was as much as could afford myself :) things like a45 are more in the wish stakes for me hehe

Hey alebonau,

How have you found the standard exhaust note?
I had planned to replace it with a Brabus system but the local distributor wont return my calls/emails, so now I am not sure.

to be honest I love the standard exhaust. it isnt as overt as the in cabin resonator generated exhaust noise of the golf gti. but the lovely burble the amg tuned exhaust makes is a lovely thing ! nice note driving along so you know its there. I like it muted and there but not too much over the top that its annoying :)

I have done a custom exhaust in a car before and to be honest though a blast at times at others wish wasnt there and bit too in your face. so happy to leave it as it is.

Hi guys i am loving my Little red A.I just spent 4 hours polishing my car with Meguiars polish....Its shunning...

good stuff fortuner. Ive been cleaning mine every week, vacuuming and what not hehe. its still like a new car very much hehe

you wont believe how many people come up to me asking about the car. telling me how good it looks in red. "stunning in red" was what someone said today :)

Yeh, what is it with these guys? You'd think they'd be all over these forums as well. Business must be too good!

The one thing that also stood out with the mountain grey vs white when I was looking at them together, was the grey appeared lower, especially looking directly from behind and front on.

Found these photos of an A250 Sport in Mountain Grey. It looks brilliant.

badly needs its front windows tinted though ! the lack of tint in the front pretty obvious in that shot and more obvious if wasnt a gloomy day in the shot there. 1st thing I did after picking up the car was get the fronts tinted. only takes a couple of hours. car feels cooler for it to :)

I'm loving the colour coded door mirrors, does anyone know if they are an option in Australia ? My A250 comes with piano black which is nice but I think I like the body colour better. Also anyone from Aus had their fronts tinted yet and if so how much was it ? Had my Mazda done when I 1st got it but the guy didn't do a great job and the Merc dealer doesn't do them any more.

I prefer the gloss black personally for the mirrors as it picks on the red black highlights on the car. but yeah can imagine others prefering otherwise. tinting the front windows cost me $149 from local tint a car and took the guy there 2 hours. its guranteed for life of the car. my merc dealer does indeed do front tinting as well but they charge something outrageous as I posted earlier in this thread ! I think for something like this would stick to the specialist stores anyways.

And also illegal in the UK.

Just wondering, is there a difference between the optional Becker Map Pilot nav and the nav system that comes with the Comand pack? Just that I've never heard the nav in the Comand pack ever refered to as the Becker Map Pilot.

I'm pretty sure the Becker Map Pilot is very basic......
