Can anyone that has linguatronics answer a couple of questions for me please:
-Does it just work with the navigation, or does it work with radio, music etc?
-Does it work with bluetoothed phone i.e. can I use it to call up contacts, initiate calls etc?
-How well does it actually work?

I'm sure others who have the car can answer better than I. However, check out this clip , it would indicate a YES for all your queries :)

PUBLIC APOLOGY.
Sitting here today with nothing to do (dive conditions off AoNang are atrocious at the moment), I've been reading through all the posts here and realise I have been calling Gumpy, Grumpy! My excuse is the predictive text corrections that my tablet makes, but regardless, my apologies Gumpy (I'm sure you're not 'grumpy' at all).
All good Mr Clip

Also, can't find it mentioned in any of the specs, does the Harmon Kardon system include a hard drive that I can load with music? I'd prefer that than having to hook up an ipod. And does it have digital radio, and now well does it work?
Thanks for help.

linguatronics comes standard so all should have it.and works with all as described :)

I do need to train it to my voice though when get a chance.

rather than the hard drive it is actually a lot easier to just plug an ipod into it. myself I have a last gen 32gb ipod touch that I have loaded with 200 cds via itunes and that I have permantently hooked up and leave in the car. works a treat :)

yes dab+ digital radio is included as part of command pack and works a treat :)

Hi Alebonau,
I was wondering if you could do me a favour? Would it be possible to measure the size of your 18" wheel and see whether that would fit comfortably in the back? Not in the spare wheel hole, but simply just in the boot itself..
Cheers!

alebonau, are you able to take a photo of the tyres which they are using? Or details of it? eg. 235/40/18 etc etc..I'm thinking of changing it once I get the car.

Thanks in advance :)

I believe ours are 225/40 R18's (second last on the list which was so kindly provided by Wolfgang). The only difference is ours aren't MOExtended (runflats).

Sorry yes Wolfgang did provide this list the last time. I ought to be more specific. I wanted to know the brand and type of tyres. And if possible the weight of the rims. Btw, a250 uses 235/40. So it's the last one. I wanted to know abt the rest of the info lol. Omg sorry I must be drunk while typing this....apologies

kaktus width is 235 and diameter is 610-630mm hard to measure. the boot is 610 deep as back seat slopes back I think would be a tight fit in the boot ? are you considering a full size spare ? I think merc sells a temp spare wheel as an option ? would be smaller and fit I'd say. but wouldnt you rely on the merc road side assistance ? they cover you for these kind of things. and even more so if well away from home. if I had a puncture forget the repair kit I would be ringing them ! thats what its for and what the dealer recommended to do as well :)

Thanks very much kind sir. These are indeed a good all rounder. These are usually stock tires from most manufacturers. I was hoping for something with more grip/braking power actually. a friend suggested michelin pilot sport 3 or the goodyear f1 asymmetric 2...btw the rims are 11.95kg...which to me is too heavy...i'm most probably going to get lighter ones.

on a separate note, your car is gorgeous!!! i can't wait til i receive mine...........

Thank you for that! The reason I'm considering a full sized spare is that I do mel-syd quite a bit and don't really have a lot of time to wait for the roadside assist. Ideally it would be a quick 10 minute change over and off I go. I drive alone so the boot wouldn't actually be utilised for anything at the time.
Cheers again for the quick measurement :)

hi linkum I had mich ps3 on my golf gti previously and I do think the contisport 5P on the merc is a better tyre overall. my golf gti used to scramble for grip, struggle for traction could easily get to axle tramp and the like even on the mich ps3. have had none of that with the contis on the merc :)

no worries. I support worse case could down the back seats. I did that other day to shift a couple of bookshelves and they fold very flat. there is decent tie downs in the boot too, sounds great to the car as well with seats down vs golf and other cars that sound pretty rough and loose nvh when fold the seats. not the case with the merc :)

Hi guys, what about this? http://www.ebay.de/itm/original-Mercedes-Benz-Ersatzrad-Notrad-mit-Tasche-B-Klasse-W246-A-Kl-W176-NEU-/251221178803?pt=Auto_Kompletträder&fits=Platform:W176&hash=item3a7df2f9b3#ht_2912wt_1163
wouldn't one of these do?

Al, (even if i should get my car this week) if possible, would you post a picture of what's underneath your booth floor? curious about the space and if a spare tire like the above would fit?

that is kind of thing am suggesting as temp spare if desperate for one. that example looks like comes with tether straps to hook upto the fixing points in the boot. have no idea if will suit an a250, probably something would have to check with merc dealer to confirm. pretty sure merc do sell this if needed, have seen it listed on the options list :)

kd awesome if getting your car this week !

under my boot floor is a wheel bay for a space saver, but its all taken up by the HK sub and amp and the tyre kit ! if your getting the command system theres no space to put a space saver in there. I'll take a pic tomorrow still if you like :)

When I looked at the vehicle, there's a space for a spare, but if you tick the Harman Kardon option, I believe the sub woofer and amplifier are installed there.

Hey Al,
Thanks, confirms what i thought, and yes, got command and HK.. so will have to live without a spare. I don't really mind as roads in CH are good enough and no risk of being attacked by kangaroos like you guys down under :p

Nevermind the picture, found one:

cool ! nice photos theres, raises some questions though hehe
