Mercedes-AMG GLE63 S Coupe unveiled with 577 bhp

Following a preview last week, Mercedes has officially unveiled the new GLE63 AMG S Coupe.

Designed to battle the BMW X6 M, the crossover has an aggressive front fascia with a single bar grille, gloss black flics and large air intakes. The model also has LED headlights, a four-tailpipe exhaust system and 22-inch lightweight alloy wheels with a titanium gray finish.

A twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine resides under the hood and produces 577 bhp and 561 lb-ft of torque. It is connected to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC transmission and a rear-biased 4MATIC all-wheel drive system which enables the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds.

I like it, nice and aggressive and huge wheels fill the wheel arches very nicely.

Overall nice, but those rims fit sedans muchmore, not the suv's. + there s too much black plastic on the wheel arches for an AMG car. On rear diffusor too. Front bumper looks awesome tough. Overall design=cool.

It's very smart for the first couple of posts here to not have a single pic of the interior!

Every time I see that command unit with all those buttons I think of this:

It's good for a SUV, but not for an MB and even more when you see their latest interiors in the C and S.

Also.... Mercedes AMG GLE63 S Coupe..... that's a nice sentence as well @Sayyaaf, too bad this is not just some concept that will be forgotten in a month.

It's so brutal looking, very un-Mercedes like IMO. I like the GLE 450 AMG better than the full on 63 model.

I agree on Brutal and to me it represents what AMG is in its raw form. i just think the black bumper and the back is over done but overall beautiful i like it so much...

I disagree Marcus. The design is actually relatively constrained compared to the last lot of AMG's. They've really 'cleaned up' the styling on the new AMG's.
