Wow. I did not expect the Model X to leave the others for dust.

The leaning of the G-Class off the line is nuts!

1 hour for preparing model X? That sounds like using viagra.

It's called pre-conditioning.

During winter, the best way to ensure maximum range and performance is by scheduling battery charging to finish 10-15 before you leave for work in the morning. This will also include pre-heating the cabin so that you don't waste battery by heating the car up from below freezing to toasty room temperature.

Most EVs have an app for managing preconditioning and scheduling. Some even learn your driving patterns and will automatically precondition accordingly.

Cold weather performance is one of the biggest and most overlooked weaknesses of EVs and Hybrids. If you don't have charging capabilities at work and at home, it's better to stick with ICEs until range is so good that range loss during cold weather is negligible.

So, if it was spring/summer day he wouldnt have to "prepare" it? He could race it immediately after start?

The Tesla could have raced without being pre-conditioned.

However EVs deliver maximum range and power when the batteries are at least 22C/71F warm. During a toasty summer day the pre-conditioning would not have been a necessary precaution to ensure it won the drag race.

This is one of the best looking cars MB has ever made imo, it's near perfect.

Also the only MB where the dual screen interior looks REALLY good.

Who gets out of a truck like that? Anyone with common sense wouldn't slide over the said rails like that, it's a step which means you step down.

Some of the stuff he says is idiotic at best.

I just watched the review as well, while I don't agree with everything he says, there are a few things I agree, finally someone is consistently pointing out the cheap/disgraceful materials MB use on the sun visors as well as the horrible brittle plastics for the rear center air vent outlets.
