Yep a BS version of the E63S would have been lovely I don’t think the e73 will really compete with the M5CS it will be extremely heavy, then again potential customers won’t care as long as they most powerful E63.

If they could put the GT Black Series engine in the E73 and make a BS version that would be awesome. It will still have 730PS and will be much lighter than the PHEV E73e. Probably will be just as quick.

No chance. Everything is dictated by the CO2 limits that the manufacturers have. Daimler arguably have just met the limit for 2020 (BMW is whole 5 grams under the limit). In 2021 the limit is the same but with the big difference, that in 2020 there was a bonus allowing the manufacturers to not include the 5% most CO2 emitting vehicles. This means that all this 5% (G classes, almost all AMG 63s) should be either replaced with hybrids or totally removed from production. Or sell enough EVs to compensate for them, but I think this could happen in 2022.

But the GT Black Series engine has a dry-sump and adapting it to the E63 will be too costly I think.

I often chuckle at the headlines some of these vloggers use..:giggle::giggle:. It doesn't detract from the fact that this is still a brilliant car though.

I don't know if I'd go that far.

Well, maybe. Depends what day you ask me.

It has lost some of that Mercedes-Benzness. Perhaps it's because in the ICE era it was seen as an innovator. Now it's entering the BEV foray in a time where the industry has experienced great upheaval from many fronts, it has become more of a follower.
 
The E63s really sounds good, but the PFL looked way better.
