Last one did it in 8:04.
7:30 is not going to happen. It will likely be far off actually. I still expect it to do great though. 7:28 is what Porsche claims for the 718 GT4.
7:45 is more feasable for the A45s and would still be hella impressive.

Let's not get silly, 7:30 is AMG GT S time, and better than E63 time. It will be faster 10 seconds than predecessor

They have M2, which isn't a hatch or a sedan but it is in a price range. It's totally different product and I don't know why any journalist compares M2 to A45 or CLA45 other than price.

Joking aside. Some laugh at why anyone would want to spend that much on a hatchback but the A45 and RS3 are well liked. It's presumed that they are for young people but even older ones like them. My neighbour traded in his SL500 for an A45 and love the hatchback to bits and a chap at the gym own an A45 along with a 991TTS and Panamera Turbo S. These are individuals who would easily have bought an C63 but didn't.

I'm expecting the 2nd gen A45 to have improved in manu areas over the gen and attract buyers who are disillusioned with cars in segments above getting heavier and more bloated.

Audi will only have the RSQ3's/RS3 models to battle the many many variants...

I never expected journalists to rave this much about a 4 cylinder engine. Does anyone know of it's modular with a potential 6 cylinder version replacing the V8 in the C63?

Other than that Mercedes have overdelivered on this car over the predeccessor. It's faster, has a more exotic drivetrain but yet more comfortable.

Price is a big tension point but surely Mercedes are warranted to charge a premium if this car is better than the C63 in some areas?

Cars like the Fiesta ST and Civis Type R are more fun and engaging anytime of the day but neither nor an M2 has the same "go-anywhere-ridicilously-fast" capability.

Last week on the wet I spotted an A45 200meter ahead entering a roundabout and I initiated a chase in my M140i. However the A45 driver had much more confidence in his AWD car and disappeared into the distance way before I even got close enough to read his licence plate.

Watching videos of people powersliding it has certainly got me even more interested in the 45s
Can't wait to get my hands on a 45s SB and also test it on track.
