Senna [Official] McLaren Senna (P15)

The McLaren Senna is a limited-production mid-engined sports car manufactured by McLaren Automotive. The car is the third addition in the McLaren Ultimate Series, joining the F1 and the P1; however, it is not a direct successor to either of the cars.

The Saleen S7-R is a GT1 car of the early 2000s (a successful one), and cars if this class were capable of running around Spa in the range of 2:10~2:14 which means that the time recorded in this video is about 10 seconds slower than what the car can do.

The best times I found and qualifying but none in 2:10

Good information (y) my estimation of the 2:10 time is based on assuming that current GTE and GT3 cars can lap Spa within the same margin (2:15-16 for the GTE; add 1.5~2.5 seconds for GT3 depending on the tyre), and as GT1 cars were lighter with a better power to weight ratio, I assumed they can go a bit faster than the current GT cars, and I used to think that there were sometimes when they were able to approach the 2:10 mark on Spa, but it seems that I was mistaken.

Yes, also the car of the video just ran in 2004 and 2005 in AMLS so i think the car of europe could be faster with another configuration

I can't tell until I look at a source. Usually, GTLM cars of IMSA WSC are marginally quicker than LM GTE cars of WEC due to (I think) more power while reducing power for the GTD cars to help overtaking, so I don't know if GT1 cars that raced in the previous ALMS are quicker or slower than the GT1 cars that raced in the FIA GT1 series.

to be able to say that one or the other is faster has to be on a track where they match like Lemans

They did, on Circuit of the Americas in 2017 and on Sebring International Raceway earlier this year.

The difference between the two pole setters at COTA was very little in qualifying, a tiny bit less than 0.25 seconds for the GTLM which was the BMW M6 GTLM, but at Sebring, where the pole setters were both Porsche 911 RSR of Porsche GT team, the GTLM one was 1.6 seconds quicker.

Regarding the old GT1 cars, I need to search for some lap times in order to ba able to compare the diffeeence between the two, and I'm on my phone now, so I'll try to search on my laptop once I'll have some time.

However, these times reflect how each organizer govern the balance of performance regulations for the cars to suit the requirements of their respective championship.

Probably too hot, the lap time is not impressive. Porsche Cup pole is under 1.47
But a BAC Mono driven by Oliver Webb took 1:54 and Csaba Mor took 2:04 in a 550hp Nissan GTR and 2:00 in a Speciale. He took 2:05 in a 488GTB but I suspect that was due to conditions too.
