That P1 driver's lines were appalling! Jeez, the ultimate circuit car (so it was claimed) in your hands and those are your lines? You can have all the money in the world and still corner like kak.

I agree with you that guy in the P1 was not even pushing that car around the apexes with any determination, he wasn't even trying to clip any apex driving in the middle of each corner, he looked terribly slow in each corner, but that P1 really left the Mono for dust in the straights! Maybe he was kak scared to push the car around the circuit worried he will spin the car off the track! Lol

From my own experience I can only assume he was trying to drive whilst attempting to keep a Chinese take-away balanced upright on the passenger seat.

Maybe the Chinese take away was down on his lap and he was texting with the other hand!

I must say I love the P1 but there are probably 2 things that are probably I find not that thrilling is the engine sound (not exciting and loud that will make your hair stand up) will and the look of the interior (too plain)

I like the Spartan interior...very racecar-oriented.

Their times were very slow indeed for the 918 compared to other tests and the P1 up to 150mph was also slow somehow but I somehow don't believe their can be a 6sec difference to 200mph between those cars it must have been rigged when you look at the distance between those 2 cars at the end of the straight it is only 6 car lengths (1sec between the frames) and the McLaren speedo was on 212mph.

Play the video frame by frame and you will see their timing gear and speed traps were totally out.

Race start at 2:56
At 3:04 the 918 speedo is showing 124mph(200kmh) which is correct about 8 sec from take off.
At 3:05 he mentions he can't see either of them and the 918 speedo is showing 138mph (222kmh).
At 3:07 he mentions the bike passing him.
At 3:13 he mentions he is about to be thumped by the McLaren
At 3:14 the P1 speedo is showing 190mph (306kmh).
At 3:17 the frame shows the P1 just passing the 918 and speed of P1 is showing 198mph (319kmh)
At 3:20 the speedo of the 918 is showing 198mph (319kmh) which is 24sec after takeoff
At 3:22 the speedo of the 918 is showing 200mph (322kmh) which is 26sec after takeoff
At 3:26 the speedo of the P1 is showing 212mph (341kmh) which is 30sec after takeoff he mentions the bike is slowing down at the P1 is just running away from him.
At 3:31 it shows the P1 about 2 and half car lengths ahead of the bike.
At 3:32 cans just about see P1 exit frame and 918 enter frame about 6 car lengths behind.

The footage obviously shows that the P1 starts to overtake him only when he is doing over 300kmh so you can say that up to 300kmh the 918 is faster than the P1 and only at about 315kmh the P1 starts overtaking and not 130mph like he mentions afterwards.
