720S [Official] McLaren 720S

The McLaren 720S is a sports car designed and manufactured by McLaren Automotive. It is the second all-new car in the McLaren Super Series, replacing the 650S beginning in May 2017. The 720S is built on a modified carbon monocoque, which is lighter and stiffer than the previous model, the 650S.
I think the power is an under quote. The 720S engine used is stated to have the same mods as the 765LT engine (uprated pistons, lightweight exhaust, blueprinting) and it's tuned for more top end at the expense of low-down torque, plus a 30hp 'push-to-pass' button.

Some nice shots published recently on the official website. I love the cleanliness of this 720S design and had I the money I think i would get it over the 765LT, even if this one is "dynamically" better and faster.

The 720S is still a damn good-looking supercar and still one of the benchmarks. We will have to see how the Ferrari 296 will compare, especially in speed, but I am sure McLaren already have something up their sleeves regards the 720S replacement.

I really don't think Ferrari even cares if it's faster or not. The 296 will not be bought to be some sort of track weapon.

The 720s isn't some sort of "track weapon" for Mclaren either. Its their base Super Series car. It just happens to be insanely capable and quick on the track due to its brilliant engineering, aero, and low weight. The 765LT is their track weapon.

Exactly right. Thank You!

Good stuff. The 720s is the Nissan GTR of exotics and has more performance to offer.

so there are apparently companies that will make your 720S/765lt into Senna lookalikes with a wing that i'm guessing was 3d-mapped from a real Senna/GTR

This a common thing happening.
From supercars I recall Performante wing and parts being copied and put on normal models. Further back and the same happened with Gallardo Superleggera parts. Think putting an oem copy of a wing on a regular car is a cool thing to do, but something like this is a big, big no:
