Shmee presents his Gumball-ready McLaren

You're likely familiar with Youtuber Shmee150, but did you know that he’s a regular participant at Gumball 3000since 2012?
Yup, Shmee has participated in the posh rally for years now and 2015 won’t be any different. In fact, he recently showcased his McLaren fitted with a brand-new wrap-job, created exclusively for the event.

It’s no secret that he drives a green McLaren 650S Spyder, which he got by trading in a 12C. Anyway, after seeing the video, we can’t help but wonder if the casino theme he adopted goes well with the McLaren's design and color.

Of course, a 650S looks a killer on its own, without being visually “improved” with the four French playing card suits, but every addition to a supercar can be a…gamble. Even the rims are customized to look like a roulette wheel - talk about diamonds in the rough.

Maybe it’s time to watch the video...

McLaren 650S receives power boost and body kit from FAB Design

Custom exhaust adds 50 PS

FAB Design is introducing a full aftermarket package tailored to the McLaren 650S.

Work started on the outside where the high-performance coupe has received a complete aerodynamic body kit with wider front and rear wings and redesigned side skirts. We also notice the enlarged air intakes in the front spoiler along with a full carbon fiber roof (with scoop) and other body add-ons made from the same lightweight yet very sturdy material. FAB Design also installed new front and rear spoilers along with a beefier rear diffuser.

A custom sports exhaust system has lifted output of the twin-turbo V8 3.8-liter engine by 50 PS (37 kW) to 700 PS (515 kW) while torque has risen from the series 678 Nm (501 lb-ft) to 722 Nm (533 lb-ft). These changes have lowered the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint time by 0.1s to just 2.8 seconds while the 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) journey now takes 7.7s, down by 0.7 seconds.

As a final touch, FAB Design installed on this tuned 650S aka the "VAYU GTR 700" a set of 20-inch EVOLUTION alloy wheels wrapped around in 275/35 ZR20 front and 325/30 ZR20 rear Dunlop tires. Photos of the interior cabin have not been provided, but the Swiss tuner says they used the finest leathers and also installed an aluminum pedal set along with unique floor mats and carbon accents.

Randomly came across this article about the 650S and what a mere mortal encounters and feels while having a supercar for 5 days. I found it rather amusing and informative. Enjoy!

Took a ride in one and must say, it was impressive how smooth it handled; its suspension was bar none when compared to cars in ts category.

McLaren 650S Le Mans, One of 50, spotted doing its thing

Nowadays, every bit of motorsport history is being turned into profit in the street car business and when we're talking about a racing-addicted company such as McLaren, this can only bring a velocity festival.

Case in point with the McLaren 650S Le Mans. We're dealing with a limited edition dedicated to the manner in which the McLaren F1 GTR took over Le Mans back in 1995, when the Woking racecar claimed the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 13th places. Of course, the title-grabbing #59 F1 GTR was the main inspiration source used by the British specialists.

The McLaren Special Operations (MSO) division is only building fifty units of the 650S Le Mans and, thanks to the piece of footage below, we can show you one of these doing its thing on the street.

The video shows the throwback Mac taking part in a supercar event in Belgium, with the clip also allowing us to get a taste of the supercar's soundtrack.

McLaren's current line-up might as well trick an untrained eye into believing the British automaker builds a second model, albeit in Coupe and Spider versions. So, how can you tell the Le Mans from a "regular" 650S?

The easiest way to do this is to check out the roof, where the limited edition packs a snorkel-like air intake that serves the twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 in the middle of the supercar. Oh, and Mclaren also explains this enriches the aural experience inside the car.

Then there are the wheels of the beast. If it looks like these come with a 90s design, it's thanks to the retro nod mentioned above. It's worth noting the front axle gets 19-inch wheels, while the rear axle comes with 20-inch units.

P.S.: We're sorry for the elevator soundtrack moment that disrupts the suck-squeeze-bang-blow concert in the video.
