McLaren 650S Sprint announced for Pebble Beach
Costs 198,000 GBP
McLaren has announced plans to introduce the track-focused 650S Sprint at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

Described as a "stripped-out racer," the 650S Sprint is based on the 650S Coupe but features aGT3-inspired exterior with a ventilated hood, revised air intakes and a prominent rear wing. The model also has a track-tuned suspension, an improved Brake Steer system and 19-inch center-locking racing wheels with Pirelli tires. There's even an onboard air jacking system for lightening quick tire changes.

The track-focused theme continues in the cabin as it has been stripped of almost all non-essential equipment. Designers then added an FIA-approved roll cage, an integrated fire extinguisher system and a carbon fiber racing seat with a six-point harness.

The twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine carries over from the standard model but it has a "unique engine and transmission calibration to further enhance on-track drivability and driver engagement." There's no word on specifications but the standard engine develops 650 PS (478 kW) and 678 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.0 seconds before hitting a top speed of 333 km/h (207 mph).

The McLaren 650S Sprint is currently available to order and pricing starts at £198,000 (excluding taxes).

Some number fron Vairano.
100-200 5.4 sec (fastest ever)
Lap time: 1.12.2 (but the car wore P.Zero Corsa, not Pirelli Trofeo and the driver, Fugazza, had some difficult driving in the wright side. This means that McLaren is the fastest car in Vairano circuit).

I confirm : Fugazza had some trouble with the right-drive.. but it was a Mc-choice :p
engine and brakes are so powerful, but 650s'd need more traction, it oversteer exit from corners and when brakes too
Fugazza confirms how the 4WD are better @ Vairano (and race tyres too)
QR avaible next weekend ;)

we should know how much in term of tenths the right-hand drive influenced, but I disagree about tires issue
tires are a component of the car. I think that these constructor give the best available configuration when they send cars for these performance test. if the best tires available on 650S are these Pzero Corsa, then better for Lambo & Ferrari which offer Pzero Trofeo & Michelin Sport Cup 2. on the other hand 650S is much more powerful (+50 than Huracàn, +45 than Speciale, +80 than Gallardo SC). and we could also point out that not all these car have active aerodynamics or that Gallardo SC is a more hardcore car with its rear wing
maybe McLaren was not so smart giving a right-hand drive, shame on them

I am heavily discussing and debate about weights of Speciale/650S in specialized Forums so I am really curious about the weight that Quattroruote experienced with the Mac.Let us know tomorrow pls:)
If I remember well the Speciale was 1456 kg with fuel right Mafalda?

Right
My bet about 650s is about 1,440 kgs
What about weight discussion? Even so, I think almost all the press cars are really light and with some extra power...

I agree...I have the datas of one Speciale in my hands and I can assure that it is heavier than the one tested by Quattroruote. And I am not making polemic at all. That's a car that I know very well and it was about 38 kg more than declared but including some options as usual.

Those are very good results!!!!! There is no 600 bhp or 700 bhp car faster!!!
