Mazda haven't turbocharged any of the new Skyactiv engines, the engines were designed around a very high compression ratio, to redesign to add a turbo might be a difficult proposition.

Good point. I've read the news today that Mazda, won't work on the RX in the near future. Instead, they will focus on the Skyactiv engine works. I hope they will come up with something new. So, they probably won't offer new models for a while.

Very beautiful. I see Vision Coupe in the interior. The UI and iconography of the infotainment spoils it a bit.

This is odd the 6 sedan has an 8cm longer wheelbase than the 6 wagon and is 6cm longer overall. For the life of me I can’t work out why?

The sedan is based on the US version where else the wagon is based on the Japan version, hence that is why the wagon is actually shorter .

Automakers are ditching CD players en masse, espically with Apple/Andriod auto becoming standard equipment.

I find it strange how manufacturers are claiming to have "high end" sound system in the cars while nobody seems to mention if the actual audio file is of the high resolution or not, or if the car is able to read and play these audio file types.

So the Japanese version sedan is also shorter, in Australia you get the short wagon and longer sedan like we get in Norway, which are imported from Japan.

New Camry has it right below the air vents (it's rather well-camouflaged)
New Accord doesn't have it nor does it seem the F/L Mazda6. I agree, it's a shame.
It's odd though the upcoming Lexus LS does have one.

Could you please show me the picture? A friend of mine just bought thw 2018 Camry SE and it does not have the CD player. Why would I pay $30K for a car without the CD player?

How about the new 2018 Mazda 6? Does it have CD player too?. I plan to buy either the 2018 Camry or 2018 Mazda 6 some time next year, i also wait for the new Nissan Altima debut. I'm not excited about the CVT transmission, so Nissan seems to be count out. But, to be honest, so far the MB C300 2017 is the best for me.Unfortunately, my other significant drives it, so I have to look again.

Don't know about the F/L 6 as that's just been released. Unless the slot is hidden in that cubby area underneath the HVAC as that's the analagous spot in the pre-F/L pics (see below). But from the press pics released, it doesn't look promising.

We will eventually find out. I would wait until either the F/L 6 or the Camry has Apple play/Android Auto to make decision. Or even better, when the new BMW X2 debuts in the U.S. Oh, I'm just a dreamer.L.O.L.
