Official Thread [Official] Lotus Electric Hypercar now confirmed

It is a pure dissapointment. Last thing Lotus needed. From its poor range, to being very late, to to being overweight. Only redeeming part is the looks.

At the end it seems like Rimac with Nevera is the winner of EV hypercars.

How so? it's slower and heavier.

That's a very bold strategy to take people for an Evija ride at Silverstone, of all the tracks...
It has high speed corners to make you feel the weight and lack of downforce, as well as long straights to quickly deplete the battery and overheat the brakes.

Seeing Evija without bodywork at the various build stages of the production line makes me all the more sad that this doesn't have a combustion engine.
I love the monocoque and the suspension bits. But it's all wasted on an RC car like toy with very limited use case. It doesn't even have a brake regen, FFS.

And to think this is Lotus' first halo car (if you don't count Elise GT1)... It's like some cursed monkey paw skit.

You’re bang on.

They should’ve put a Cosworth V8 into it, like the most successful Lotus F1 cars had.
