Still no customer cars?
A few but I've no solid numbers on client delivered examples. To be brutally honest I've since the V16 was premiered gone most except that.

For now this is the latest I saw~

"In a new factory next door, meanwhile, engineers work on the £2m Evija, the company’s electric “hypercar”. Around six are being built during our visit, with the company having only recently begun deliveries."

Doesn’t Jenson Button own one?
Yes- but little information. I'm not fussed about his I'm wanting the regualr clients to get their's. They put deposits down in 2019 'ish. The first ones.

He's apparently been testing one in China.

Meh, this is the time the standard car should have done! Instead we have this monstrosity - which is not even something they sell to anyone, just a singular time attack prototype - with slicks and 5x the aero of the road car, but it still can only go 11s faster than the AMG One. I looked at cornering speeds and the average cornering is slower than the 992 GT3RS. Having a time attack special corner slower than a normal road car - a pretty impressive achievement by Lotus!

If this does 6:24 with turbo aero, slicks and being massively lighter, then what does the road car do? 7:24? I mean, it's gonna struggle to go under 7 at the very least.

Very nice.
Well yes and no!

Truly 6:24 is very very fast but for +2000hp no rules and slick and only 10s faster that AMG One?

Did AM target 6:30 for the Valhalla?

For me, this increases my opinion of EVs.

Even the most outlandish EV hypercar doesn't hold much interest for me.

EVs bring nothing to sports cars or supercars, let alone hypercars.

For extremely fast sedans like the Lucis or Taycan, I understand the interest it's practical and can be used every day.

I think it's an interesting topic of discussion, but we're promised Sport EVs that will "change the minds of sports car fans", and I'm still waiting.

I think calling a once-off, experimental workshop special a "hypercar" is pulling the piss. Have a bit of respect for the makers who've actually delivered real hypercars.

That is exactly what I thought - how slow is the real car if this heavily modified car on slicks only managed 6:24. It is probably not much faster than the new Taycan GT's lap. Slicks are supposed to be typically ~2 sec/min quicker than R compound tires - link . You could put slicks on the Manthey GT2 3 RS and probably be just as quick. Or on the AMG one and be even faster.

Well you've raised alot points. I think for now all I'll say is this. I recall their original target time and compared to what they did then and now, I would think something might be left on the table. Perhaps.

We'll see.

As for manufacturer estimates for times they don't interest us. Show up and turn it in and get it verified!

If they tried it with Cup 2 R tyres (which AMG One and the other normally use, this tyre is faster than Trofeo R), I would guess around 6:35-6:40.
The road car is heavier (don’t know how much) and doesn’t have all the aero, so as Bridster says it would maybe struggle to get under 7 min. I think it should go under 7 min, but not by much. Not impressive for a 2000 ps hypercar.
