In some weird way, I am glad these are going up in value....well, except for the fact that I'll never, ever be able to get one. How are the values on non-N-ring packages holding? I haven't checked them in a loooong while.

Lexus Sold Three Brand New LFAs in 2019..... I can’t blame the lucky buggers as this car is more desirable now than it was when it first came out.

What is really shows that despite how fabulous this car is, it was a commercial failure. Grossly overpriced.

That is an inaccurate assumption. These were dealership owned LFAs that never were titled. They were being kept for different reasons for example, investment or to attract people to the dealership etc. They finally decided to let them go. There is a yellow one in Arizona that has a "not for sale" sign on it. My dealership has such an LFA that the owner drives and parks in the dealership. However, he is not willing to sell it.

The market is the best judge of something being overpriced or underpriced ("consumer will pay what the market will bear"). LFAs actually held their value well and recently have begun climbing quite steeply especially the Nürburgring Edition, which have been fetching over $1 million in some cases.

Nah don't buy it, doesn't make any sense. NO ONE keeps an unsold nearly 400K car at the dealership for years just to attract people to a dealership. Now if an owner likes the car and keeps it for himself that's a different story. The car was overpriced and didn't sell, that is just a fact. I have no doubt that it will appreciate in value, that isn't the point.
