Jeep [Official] Jeep Cherokee (KL)

Jeep is an American automobile brand, now owned by multi-national corporation Stellantis. Jeep has been part of Chrysler since 1987, when Chrysler acquired the Jeep brand, along with other assets, from its previous owner, American Motors Corporation (AMC). Official website: Jeep
I didn't think it was possible.. But the BMW 1er and the new Lexus IS are no longer worlds ugliest current cars. Cause this beats them by big margin!!! How the hell can this be approved?????

OMG. The Grand Cherokee is so ruggedly handsome. This is just ghastly.

I guess we now know the point where Mercedes stopped helping them out. :ROFLMAO:

dafuq is this thing?

Someone said KIA?

They make good looking cars these days;)

I really want to puke when I see that front. Makes Nissan Juke look good. And the Multipla also.
Can it be the ugliest car we've ever seen?

12 years and this still looks better

^ This is Grand Cherokee, isn't it? The legend.

The new turd is Cherokee, not Grand Cherokee!

The "new" 2014 Grand Cherokee looks a bit better than this turd ...http://www.autoblog.com/2013/01/14/2014-jeep-grand-cherokee-gets-surprisingly-comprehensive-update/

So, the legend is still save. For now.

Yet even putting a Cherokee badge on such an ugly car still does some damage to the Grand Cherokee trademark as well.

Oh, Chrysler, Chrysler ...

That is Cherokee not Grand Cherokee. Grand Cherokee didn't exist when that car was introdued.

Oh, I thought the Cherokee was the 2dr version, and Grand Cherokee was the 4dr version.

Oh, now I see even the 4dr version had the Cherokee nameplate, then Grand Cherokee was introduced - as a true Cherokee successor , while Cherokee trademark is now reintroduced to replace the Jeep Liberty. So, this new Cherokee has actually nothing to do with original Cherokee, and consequently nothing with Grand Cherokee ... but it's actually a replacement for Liberty. What an utter mess! A mess only Chrysler can make, obviously. :D

If I remember correctly, Cherokee and Grand Cherokee co-existed but the Grand was more of a spacious alternative to the Chrokee with V8 option for the 1st time in a Jeep (4.7L). Things moved ahead and Jeep decided to ditch the cherokee name in favour of liberty, which was obviously a bad mistake. Then they renamed the liberty back to Cherokee and gave it a shameful platform. They downsized the 4.0L to 3.7L and gave it softer chassis more on-road oriented.

Grand Chrokee kept moving up scale with bigger engines and then SRT version came up, now they just facelift the 4th generation

And they just scored a 10 pointer with the Gran Cherokee SRT8...

I can't believe that they present that "thing" after..

I believe that the "Cherokee" name was never dropped in Europe. In the US, it was dropped in favour of "Liberty", but we continued to get it with a Cherokee badge.

:)

The Liberty was the Cherokee outside of the U.S. so the Cherokee name is just being re-introduced back to the U.S. market.
