Fisker Official Fisker Ocean SUV production version

Fisker Inc. was an American automotive company founded by Danish automotive designer Henrik Fisker and his wife Geeta Gupta-Fisker. Launched in 2016 and based in Manhattan Beach, California, Fisker Inc. was the successor to Fisker Automotive. In early 2024, the company experienced intense financial difficulties, its shares were delisted from the NYSE, and ceased operations.
How come they are still able to sell units of the car. It sounds like trash.
I don't think they sell that much.

Also there are people who think this is a conspiration against them ( I really saw that on Reddit ) . "The big dogs don't let us sell this amazing car"

"The big media is against us"

"Tesla also had issues , and look at them now"

People nowadays are truly insane...

This is post from a Ocean forum , just to see how blind some users are.

"Anyone who's not concerned isn't paying attention. It's such a shame too. The design is incredible. The specs are great. .... (blablabla )

They sent out cars with software flaws under the assumption "we can just fix it later", without considering what delivering flawed cars would do to the brand. They had one chance to survive - by delivering a great product with great customer service - and they blew it. I cancelled my order as soon as deliveries started and the first reports of software flaws and terrible customer service started surfacing, and many others did the same."

This dude managed to show how a bi-polar look like. "Such a great car" , "but I won't buy it because it's full of flaws"

In almost every Ocean forum I am looking for the last 2-3 month , the trend is the same:

"Tesla had issues , so Fisker has it. It's fineeee"

They just forget that Tesla paved the way. There was nobody prior to Tesla. Of course they had issues.

But Fisker is on their second wave. And still have massive issues.

This is why people buy the Ocean , IMO....Just because Tesla had issues . Hope for "future updates"

Another bipolar dude...

" Climate controls stopped working … yikes never experienced that either luckily (not counting vent issues which were replaced automatically)"

You just can't make this s**t up... I never had an issue , except when I had , but that does not count...hahaha

WOW, the winds of bankruptcy seem irremediable, as I have been reading, it is incredible, so fast!
With the beautiful design they have, one day they will be like those unicorns that are worth a lot of money.

Wow...Just , wow...

Imagine being a Ocean owner...And having a car that has almost 0 demand , and also having it absolutely slashed by value .

I feel like this cut is just a measure to cash grab something out of existing inventory , and after that , bye bye...

And also , this is what the true definition of nepotism.

Having your wife as a COO and CFO , having 0 experience or training or degree in financial operations....

It sounds worse than when the Karma, a great merit for a storyteller, it cannot be denied that he has made progress in that area

If you are an owner and expect software issues to be resolved. Think again.
Software developers, of all, are the first to stop when salaries do not arrive, in this case with good reason. Even Fisker can screw a door, but he neither manages nor has the keys to the programming sources.

I said it above.

This discount is not a good thing , because , IMO , it only means a quick cash grab to liquidate what ever is left ( inventory ) , and after that , bye bye...

And there is a pretty big inventory , right now.

Let's be real , they are not Tesla to give a discount and still make a profit.

I see no other reason for this massive price reduction...

It’s a good looking car. Unfortunately built on a house of sand. The radical product expansion is always the first thing there is something going on. Additional Future products distract from what is really going on and tempt the investors and placate the shareholders.
In California there is a Karma Graveyard full of the Luxury executive sedan some once thought would be the future even the media waxed lyrical over it. Ironic since it offered a dead wood trim it’s also now in its final place of rest also departed from this world.

The lesson here. Is that there are customers who will bypass these early adopters whether American or Chinese and stick with established brands because of manufacturer backing and security.

When a Fisker youtuber is failing to have any reason to support your car,you know things are really bad.

Even them can’t find any good in the company

Seems to be done.

June 18 (Reuters) - Fisker filed for bankruptcy protection late on Monday, as the U.S. electric-vehicle maker looks to salvage its operations by selling assets and restructuring its debt after burning through cash in an attempt to ramp up production of its Ocean SUVs.
The hyper-competitive EV market has seen several companies, including Proterra, Lordstown and Electric Last Mile Solutions, file for bankruptcy in the past two years as they grappled with weakening demand, fundraising hurdles and operational challenges from global supply chain issues.

...

The collapse of its talks with the automaker - which Reuters had reported to be Nissan - meant that it was denied $350 million in funding from an unnamed investor that was contingent on the automaker's investment and forced Fisker to explore options.

...

Its 20 largest creditors include Adobe (ADBE.O), Alphabet's Google (GOOGL.O), and SAP (SAPG.DE), the filing showed.

Within the constraints of an established car manufacturer Henrik seemed to be a competent designer, anything beyond that seemed to be a bit of a reach.
