Oh wait

They nailed everything but that grille.

Also why do I get the feeling that Ferrari is making way too many models now and the SUV isn't even here yet?

Yeah I was just thinking that. Their order books should be chocked full of orders. I like the expansion though, long as they keep delivering like this. I want an 812 GTS please.

I have to ask... what the hell is going on in Ferrari's design department of late? There's nothing I like about it; not the exterior (the nose is just a darn mess), not the his-n-hers bath tub interior with crappy displays all over the place. Nothing.
Oh wait, I thought I was done but special mention has to be made of that colour-coded cheese grater of a grille and the scruffy intersection of it with the headlights (with their own weird slashes and notches). I mean c'mon - you go to all the trouble to create this colour-coded front fascia only to put two messy black inserts inboard of the headlights. Really?

But, my biggest issue by far, is this: it doesn't look anything like a Ferrari.

Haha just how I like my master bathroom suites.

The same was true for the 360 and 458 and Enzo.

They are an independent car manufacturer that is public list company.

Investors want growth, growth and more growth.

More models, one-offs and an SUV and $15,000 paint stripes will drive the agenda.

No ways...

360 - despite dispensing with the 355's classic rear buttresses was, for the rest of it, a quintessentially mid-engined Ferrari. When you saw one on the road, you were left in no doubt as to what it was. It looked like a Ferrari and nothing else.
458 - you couldn't get more fundamental mid-engined Ferrari DNA if you tried.
Enzo - actually, given its V12 uber-Ferrari brief (which has traditionally thrown out unusual designs) Enzo was quite readily identifiable as a big 12 cylinder mid-engined Ferrari. The squared off rear deck especially evoked memories of the 512 TR.

So no, the same was not true for the above.

The Roma successfully encapsulates the intended (and promoted) association with the 1960s' La Dolce Vita jet-set era intertwined with our current digital environment. It harkens back to an age in which "Ferrari" was synonymous with "elegance"-without resorting to contrived "retro".

When the Portofino was presented just over two years ago, I was left optimistic that Ferrari would once again find its' way towards a design paradigm that is defined by athletic elegance. In my opinion, it was last represented in the form of the 456 GT way back in the early 1990s'. Ferrari has absolutely nailed it with the Roma. Outside...inside...it's a rock solid piece of highly competent automotive design.

Lovely contribution of opinion. I might not agree with it but you have put forward your point beautifully. Unfortunately, for me, I am seeing some contrived retro.

Can I offer you a hug???

I think I'm starting to like it. Looks Aston-Martinish though. It's like they're trying to re-capture a look from the past, but it might work. The interior seems to be a knockout.

You said everything I wanted to say : very Aston looking outside and quite nice. And finally I see a Ferrari interior I like !

The 456GT along with the Scaglietti still give me the fizz. Saw one in silver a year ago. What a car!!! Also special mention to the 550/ 575 along with the barchetta and panamerica.

I like it, especially the bulging shoulders but the rear lights and the front lights and grill/intake looks weird. There is alot of F-type and AM styling cues. I dont like the interior, it looks like it could come out of a Kia or Hyundai, just doesnt look special enough or like any other Ferraris.
