Roma [Official] Ferrari Roma (2020 -

The Ferrari Roma (Type F169) is a grand touring car by Ferrari. Predecessor: Ferrari Portofino. Successor: Ferrari Amalfi. Production: 2020-2024 (coupé), 2023- (spider).
This is probably meant as a baby 812 superfast. Both similar layout. Mid engined you have also two, F8 and then the SF90.

But, my biggest issue by far, is this: it doesn't look anything like a Ferrari.
That was a clean design. However similar to the scaglietti and a few other V8 GTs by Ferrari, it is completely anonymous in silver, grey or blue when parked. The mid engined cars have by far the strongest sex appeal and crowd pull.

The Roma will be a welcomed alternative to the less appreciated California/Portofino and will also be a laddering model. Ferrari fans will buy it for themselves or their wives to gain Kudos for invitations to buy the limited edition models.

Actually, I don't really mind the similarities. I've always liked the F-Type.

sort of looks like a Camero from the rear.
The styling is not that great, looks dull.
the interior is nice, the details and hvac supply vents look hi-quality

So probably around €160,000 base price. Good luck to the BMW M8 in that price range, against the 911, AMG GT, Vantage, and now Roma (I'm not even citing the S Class Coupé, DB11 and Continental GT, as those offer 4 real seats or at least a 12 cylinder engine and are more luxurious and/or exclusive).

The M8 is just bigger and porkier but is realistically still a 2 seater. Its only arguments are the interior fit and finish, interior tech, 4WD (for whoever wants that) and certainly a larger trunk. In the driving department though it can't compete, yet that's (for the time being) BMW's answer to the 911, AMG GT, etc.

Edit: Shmee actually gives it a €200,000 estimate indeed. I figured it would be cheaper than the Portofino due to the lack of an open roof.

It will be more than €160k. The Portofino is €190k. Expect pricing to be between the Portofino and F8.

The rumored €160k price tag is likely without VAT, a basic Roma without any optional equipment will likely be between €190-200k like the Portofino in most European countries I would assume.

an expert on Ferrrarichat told that it will be 1.4% more expensive than the Portofino.

I have to ask... what the hell is going on in Ferrari's design department of late? There's nothing I like about it; not the exterior (the nose is just a darn mess), not the his-n-hers bath tub interior with crappy displays all over the place. Nothing.
Oh wait, I thought I was done but special mention has to be made of that colour-coded cheese grater of a...

Cheese grater? Pffffff! Come on, man! It's more like a pasta maker. Also the double bathtub would appeal to the Cialis crowd. ;)

Ferrari just taught Aston Martin how to build a DB11. I love it, reminds me of the 456GT.
