LaFerrari [Official] Ferrari LaFerrari

Ferrari LaFerrari (F150), is a limited production mid-engine, mild hybrid sports car. Production: 2013-2018. Successor: Ferrari F80.
That was a strange and amateurish video, it won't hurt to show a few sec of the LaFerrari on the track without the choppy fast forwarding.

Ferrari's promotional videos are overproduced and unnecessarily dubbed over with ridiculous music. The only noise I want to hear is the battlecall of that glorious V12 and those tires squealing on the pavement.

A disguised LaFerrari has been caught testing on the streets in Maranello. The 950bhp hypercar, recently unveiled at the Geneva motor show, was undergoing the last stages of pre-production testing before it reaches customers in the autumn.

Despite the car's camouflage, many of the LaFerrari's styling features can be seen in the shots taken by Autocar reader, Jordan Griffith. The F1-style rear foglight, for example, can be seen under the numberplate. The huge rear intakes are free from disguise.

The latest Ferrari flagship is powered by a 6.3-litre V12 and a HY-KERS hybrid system. The combustion engine provides 789bhp, with the hybrid assistance contributing the remaining 161bhp to the 950bhp total. Torque is rated at 715lb ft. These figures trump those of its nearest rivals, the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder.

Ferrari will make 499 LaFerraris at €1.3 million (£1.1 million) each, with nearly every car now allocated to customers.

A "LaFerrari" by Maserati would be nice, it would again boost the image, and could be a more interesting and exclusive car. With slightly less power, but also less weight, it is a better choice IMO. As for the "911 rival", from my "mysterious" sources ;), it will not be based on the 4C. Just as the previous Quattroporte split up into a larger S Class and smaller E Class rival, so is the GranTurismo to be split up into a larger CL and 911 rival, the later closer to M4 layout, with mid-front engine, and 2+2 seats. Think of the Maserati Shamal.

Well I am excited and disappointed by this at the same time. So basically Ferrari wasn't being entirely truthful when they said to us that the LaFerrari is the ultimate expression of everything Ferrari represents, however I am intrigued by this extreme version of the LaFerrari, how much more beautiful and extreme can it be?

More extreme LaFerrari planned

But the car’s chief designer, Flavio Manzoni, told Autocar that plans are already being made for a more exclusive version of the car to be sold in very small numbers.
Although he didn’t confirm the number that will be made, it seems likely that there will be fewer than 10 in total, so expect a price of somewhere between £3 million and £5 million.
“When we were producing the original design proposals for LaFerrari,” said Manzoni, “there was one proposal that I thought was especially beautiful. So we decided to keep that one back for something truly special in the future.”
In standard guise, LaFerrari has 950bhp from its hybrid V12 powertrain and weighs just 1255kg ‘dry’. But it’s no secret that Maranello wants to build a road car that adheres to the 2007 Millechili concept’s 1000kg kerb weight.
A super-exclusive version of LaFerrari might just be the opportunity that it is seeking, especially since all 499 examples of the £1.1 million regular model are already sold.

The car was launched more than two months ago, and I haven't stop looking at photos of it since.

I just wish they would give the car a more exciting set of wheels! Something that better matches the dramatic looks.

Same here, but then again these simple stock rims are probably as light as they can make it without using carbon fiber. I love the way they have taken the material out from the side of the spokes to reduce the weight of the rims.
