LaFerrari [Official] Ferrari LaFerrari

Ferrari LaFerrari (F150), is a limited production mid-engine, mild hybrid sports car. Production: 2013-2018. Successor: Ferrari F80.
Speaking of Pininfarina...curious as to why they were not ionvolved in this. Any insight, anybody?
Also, those TopGe@r pics...F150. Interesting.....

This car makes turboes look completely useless and meaningless. Hopefully, this is the way of the future. It achieves the same grunt that a Veyron gets from 4 turboes and a 16 liter displacement.

It does everything a turbo engine (add immense amount of horsepower regardless of natural engine displacement) can do without compromising on the NA-specific especially high-revving qualities (sound, throttle response, lack of inertia etc.).

16 cylinders not liters

Indeed it is.

BTW, I haven't heard anything about it yet, but I assume the rather big shutlines all around the car have something to do with all the active aero on this machine??

Probably a repost -

about weight Ferrari claims 1,255 Kgs DRY , as like as the Enzo
the Enzo was, in the real world, 1,496 Kgs kerb, with drver and 45 Kgs fuel (evo megatest): as weight as koeniss, 20 Kg lighter than CGT, 55 Kgs heavier than Zonda F CS.
I think the real weght of La Ferrari'll be equal or a bit better than Enzo!

What is the difference in Multi-link suspension and Pushrod suspension?

The Lafer has Multi-link in the rear..and double wishbones in front..

Where the Enzo have Pushrods in the rear..and im not sure about the front.

Anyone with more knowledge please enlighten

Multi-link describes the type of method used to connect and secure the wheel to the chassis, 'pushrod' describes the type of mechanism used to active and control the suspension's motion. For a clear example of a pushrod suspension set up, have a look at the Aventador's suspension.

^Yes ive seen pushrods before and know how they work..my question is then does the Lafer have pushrod suspension ?

Enjoy

Frank Stephenson on the design of LaFerrari:
On day one of the 83rd annual Geneva Auto Show, I spoke with McLaren design chief Frank Stephenson on his new P1 supercar. An hour later, I ran into him at Ferrari’s busy booth where he and P1 program chief engineer Paul Mackenzie were taking a close look at the LaFerrari flagship.

Motor Trend: What are your first impressions?

Frank Stephenson: I think it’s pretty good actually. I heard all kinds of rumors and likes and dislikes…and these cars should be like that anyways. But I think it’s very nice. They’ve made a Ferrari out of it, which is good. Definitely moving on from the Enzo. This looks like a real Ferrari! I do like it…beautiful sculpture…

FS: [Pointing to an arc along the rear flank] I don’t agree with that line because it doesn’t do anything. That’s something we would have never done at McLaren. That line has no reason to be there.

MT: How did you get in here?

FS: [Laughs] I walked in! I used to work here!

MT: Yeah, but how did you get [Paul McKenzie] in here?

FS: I asked Luca!

Interestingly enough, later that night, I was chatting with Robert Cumberford, Automobile magazine’s automotive design editor, about the cars we had seen at the show and he echoed Stephenson’s thoughts on the Ferrari – including his dislike of the character line on the flank. Great designers do think alike.
