These guys pay for exposure (type any luxury/exotic car query and their videos come first), whilst many real, trained automotive journalists struggle to get by.

Young teens/adults like them and along with all the other vloggers, so good for them they have a big audience.

Incidentally, I have met his dad in the past - didn’t know who his son was till recently. He founded, then sold a tech company in the billion dollar range.

Care to give an example?

Not everyone vil make 6 figures off of YouTube videos, it's supply and demand. Arguably there are many who deserve more views than this guy (Vehicle Virgins), but is he the one to blame? Is it in any way his fault? I fail too see that. The fact that you can pay to get in front of the line when people search for videos on youtube is a YOUTUBE problem, not him.

As for the journalists who struggle to get by, could you give an example? I genuinely would like to know because I agree that that really would be sad.

By the way, not saying what you're stating here isn't true to some extent, but these guys at least put in an effort to become what they are today, regardless of being privileged or not. Latest example, take a look at a channel called Alaatin61 (or something along those lines). Started out with a couple of views per video and last time I checked he gets a LOT. Deserved? I certainly think so. Why wouldn't it be?
