WOW, I love it, even though I love the coupe a tad bit more.

Maybe it's because they went with a hard top instead of a cloth top.

Took a screen shot with the roof closed. I rather take the soft top and have the clear engine cover than having the hardtop. The 458 is suppose to be an all out junior super car, those who want a hardtop Ferrari can get the California.

Wow, i didn't know how simple it is! :D Thank you very much! :usa7uh:

Official press release added in the first post. Ferrari claims the folding aluminium hard top system is 25kg lighter than the outgoing soft top system. Impressive

No problem, we are here to help.

I agree with you. I think if one day i will eventually buy this car :D, i will take the regular coupe over this hard top. The hardtop, when the roof is closed, looks too similar with the coupe, while with the soft top makes this car to have a more distinctive looks and even sexier i guess.

That is one neat system. Sales of this spider version could excell the hard top. I am super impressed.

I am afraid, in near future both Coupés and soft-top Convertibles/Spiders/Roadster may disapear. "Why spend alot on a car that is not practical and cannot open its top, or spend alot on a car that you can only drive in good weather for fear that the cloth-roof will not stand rain and snow. Better get two in one."

Mercedes SLK, BMW Z4 (E89), Ferrari 458 Spider, Porsche 911 Cabrio (991), McLaren MP4-12C Spider,.....

That is the type of engineering I love the most, simple, effective and elegant. Ferrari is really doing it.

I like it a lot since I love the 458 italia. Though, I would still pick the coupe than this. I really like the engineering marvel it is with respect to the hardtop going into the back. Truly innovative.

Hottest car on the planet

Sure is...

Heh heh, Ferrari takes an earlier innovation to another level. We've seen this backflip lid before - on the 575M Superamerica. ;)

This time the top is housed under the engine cover though... Love it.

Hahha the retarded 575M roof.. :D

When it was down it had the shape of a bowl..and collected water..:D

WTF?!?! Completely missed this whole car somehow!!

Looks absolutely sick. And the way the roof operates and looks is super cool too. Like the Superamericana as you guys said.

Be careful! If Gold Stocks get corrected on the downside, they will get corrected BIG!
