California [2008-2017] [Official] Ferrari 149 M Project (New California)

Lexus LS is as old as dirt, same cars as 2007 right down to the engine. New grille, interior and wheels only.

This is so damn bad..i hate it..

I f#ckin hate it..its almost as tragic as the original car..

And why keep the California name? don't ferraris always change name with each generation..like modena,italia..and so on.. :(

This seems like a facelift from the look and the name..but its not.. its to extensive..

This is a brand new ferrari..and its tragic..

Hate it.. all of it..

Besides the drive train.. :D

755Nm

So Ferrari goes turbo (again). I think 458 Speciale is going to be a very good "investment" if one can afford one.

The problem I had with the original California was the bulbous rear. While the new rear is a bit of an improvement with the conventional exhaust layout, the rear proportions still look a bit off.

It's definitely an improvement compared to the old California but I was hoping for more of Porsche style transition from the old boxster to the new boxster.

For me the changes are significant enough that it moved to #1 spot compared to any other hardtop convertible. Like martinbo, if I had such money to spend on a car, this would be one of the top choices.

On looks, I prefer the 991 Targa. I am not the biggest 991 fan, but Porsche hit the targa out of the park.

Nice try Ferrari, but the California still remains a porky and heavy looking Ferrari. The design has too much bloat for me to get excited about the car. I guess they haven't figured out how to develop a more compact roof so that the rear doesn't need to be so huge.

They should have get rid of the rear 'seats', that will give them more space to store the roof.

Definitely an improvement. Not that I can shout too loud about that, I was a fan of the pre-FL from start.

Haven't been a huge fan of recent Ferraris but this and the F12 are two real stunners. I never will be in the market for a Ferrari but if I were this new Cali would be top of my list……… beautiful.

Since when is using the same chassis the be all and end all as to whether the car is a facelift or not? What if a new car is designed and the current chassis works just as well? There are enough changes in this car to call it a new model.

I think the interior (moulding & subfame) is the same as well, just new infotainment and tweaks. The car has been heavily reskinned, but it should not be called all-new, even by Ferrari.

This is a facelift, just like the 2013 MB E-class..

I'm tending to agree, now. It's gone into my car database as a facelift rather than a new model.
